<div>The Assistant Recreation Specialist &ndash; Aquatics is responsible for assisting the Recreation Specialist &ndash; Aquatics in providing day-to-day leadership of lifeguard staff, oversees safe and efficient natatorium operations, and assists with the coordination, supervision, and delivery of aquatic programs. This position plays a key role in staff training, emergency response, water safety, and guest service while supporting aquatics management with scheduling, programming, and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong on-deck presence, excellent judgment in emergency situations, and the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse aquatic staff in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Aquatic positions are safety sensitive. Work schedules vary based on the facility schedule, closures, and programming, and is subject to change throughout the year. The position requires ability to travel and work at various facilities as needed.
The full salary range for this position is stated above. The starting range of pay is dependent on qualifications and experience of each individual candidate. WORKING CONDITIONS 
Work in this position is performed primarily indoors in an office and at recreation centers, with occasional work outside for seasonal programs. 
 
In Aquatic programs work is constantly performed in a high-volume indoor pool setting with constant exposure to loud noise and wet/humid conditions; work includes periods of high activity and stress during emergency situations; sufficient physical strength, stamina, and conditioning are needed to rescue swimmers in danger of drowning who may resist rescue. 
 
Required Materials and Equipment 
Equipment used may include computers, keyboards, copy/fax machines, telephones, calculators, televisions, audio/visual equipment (DVD, CD, etc.), public service announcement equipment, small hand tools such as hammer, screwdrivers, tape measurers, and a variety of recreational equipment and maintenance tools. 
 
In aquatics programs knowledge of lifeguard equipment to include but not limited to rescue tubes, backboards, bag valve masks, AED, whistles, chemical testing kits, basic pool chemicals, telephones, two-way radios, and megaphones; uses cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment such as pool vacuum, hose, pressure washer, and scrubbers; operates personal computers and other standard office equipment.

At Great Wolf, the Aquatics Technician II oversees the day to day engineering operations in the lodge. This includes but is not limited to project management, general life safety, ordering, working with vendors. Responsible for completing preventative maintenance and repairs through-out the hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings &amp; grounds. 
Responsibilities:<ul><li>

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

An instructor/faculty member in the Nursing Program is directly responsible and accountable for 
ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and objectives of the Nursing Program, and ensuring program compliance with the Texas Board of Nursing. These responsibilities require leadership in both academic and workforce areas and include meeting student retention goals; participating in educational planning; evaluating student performance; motivating and advising students; and generating program reports as needed. The individual that serves as an Instructor in the Nursing Program is a full-time faculty member. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 
Required: Master&rsquo;s Degree in Nursing from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education. 
Experience in Medical/ Surgical Nursing, Critical Care Nursing AND/OR Emergency Room Care Nursing preferred, 
Two of the last four years with full time earnings in the nursing field 
One year full time teaching practical experience in the anticipated subject area of teaching 
Must hold and maintain a current license or privilege to practice as a registered nurse of the State of Texas 

QUALIFICATIONS: 
The candidate must be an excellent communicator, have superior interpersonal skills, be an innovative, problem-solving thinker, and have demonstrated potential for leadership. Assist in curriculum development and instructional advancement in the field of Nursing. The preferred candidate will be familiar with simulation technology and knowledgeable in nursing informatics, computerized medical records and computer based technology. Candidate must also be informed in learning management systems/platforms.<div> 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
<ul><li>Assess the instructional needs of students and help coordinate the development of a plan to address these needs</li><li>Teach-lectures and clinicals as assigned; determined by need and/or expertise</li><li>Maintain communication and work cooperatively with off campus sites</li><li>Assist with curriculum development</li><li>Maintain quality assurance to remain compliant with all required agencies</li><li>Assist in core curriculum evaluations, assessment of institutional effectiveness and preparation of reports</li><li>Serve on institutional committees, screening committees for faculty positions as assigned by the College President, Vice President for Instruction or the Dean of Associate Degree Nursing</li><li>Obtain qualified preceptors at designated clinical facilities and supervise preceptors and students at various off campus clinical facilities</li><li>Conduct student recruitment-Maintain overload hours if required</li></ul></div>
