Must be able to read blueprints; layout to tight tolerances.

Must be able to weld 6G and pass a proficiency test.

Standard Duties:

Using arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches, welds together metal components and alloys such as pipelines, boilers for a variety of complex precision assemblies.

Involves a considerable amount of welding to high strength and pressure requirements.

Joins together components of fabricated sheet metal assemblies; cut, trim, or scarf metal objects to dimensions, as specified by layout, work orders, or blueprints.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent education/experience plus three years trade related experience preferred.

Certification required.

Clean driving record.

Capabilities

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals.

Physical Requirements

Standing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 70 lbs.
