Job Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer (Buildings) is responsible for the technical design, engineering calculations, and documentation of comprehensive electrical and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems for a variety of building projects (residential, commercial, and mixed-use). Operating under the guidance of a Senior Engineer or Design Office Manager, the candidate will take ownership of medium-scale design packages from concept through to tender-ready documentation. A key focus of this role is ensuring strict compliance with local utility regulations (e.g., SEWA, DEWA, ADDC) and local Civil Defense fire and life safety codes, while achieving seamless, clash-free coordination within a multi-disciplinary engineering and architectural design team.
Key Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Design &amp; Documentation: Prepare detailed layouts, containment routing, schematic diagrams, and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for internal/external lighting, small power, low voltage (LV) distribution, lightning protection, and earthing systems.</li><li>
Engineering Calculations: Conduct accurate electrical load estimations, maximum demand calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit analyses, and voltage drop calculations.</li><li>
Lighting Simulation: Create point-by-point indoor, outdoor, and emergency lighting simulations using DIALux/DIALux evo to verify lux level compliance, uniformity, and energy efficiency targets.</li><li>
ELV Systems Coordination: Assist in or directly handle the basic design and integration of Extra-Low Voltage systems, including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, ICT structured cabling, and Central Emergency Battery systems.</li><li>
Interdisciplinary Coordination: Actively participate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination reviews to detect, track, and resolve spatial clashes with HVAC, plumbing, structural, and architectural elements.</li><li>

Required Skills &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>
