Join our team as a summer intern and gain real-world experience working alongside architects, engineers, and industry professionals. In this role, you&rsquo;ll support project teams on meaningful work, from developing design documents and BIM models to conducting research, assisting with construction observation, and collaborating with colleagues across multiple offices. Our internship program is designed to help you build technical skills, explore the profession, and contribute to projects that make a real impact.
Position Wage Range
The anticipated hourly wage for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.*
Primary Qualifications**<ul><li>
Completion of 3+ years of a A&amp;E related undergraduate program</li><li>
One year of school remaining after the completion of the internship</li><li>
Basic knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Auto CADD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Bluebeam</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt</li><li>
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with other team members</li><li>
A passion for client-focused design</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a talent for balancing graceful oral and written communication between Cushing Terrell teams and our clients</li></ul> 
Position Responsibilities***<ul><li>
Be responsible for basic design criteria furnished by an experienced architect or engineer and under their supervision prepare clear, concise, readable drawings and BIM models including model setup, input, and red-line correction changes</li><li>
Conduct basic materials research and specification preparation and writing</li><li>
Assist with cost-estimating take-offs and data input</li><li>
Assist with or provide on-site construction observation on simple projects</li><li>
Potentially lead small projects under the direction and supervision of a supervisor</li><li>
Attend weekly classes and watch training videos</li><li>
Work alongside and learn from professionals in parallel disciplines</li><li>
Work with project teams spanning several of our offices across the nation</li><li>
Work with a variety of local and national clients</li><li>
Visits to construction sites with project leaders (dependent upon project phase and time of year)</li></ul>

HR Assistant

McMillen is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our dynamic team in Boise, ID. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in human resources while supporting a fast-paced, project-driven environment. The HR Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR operations and providing administrative support across various HR functions.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintain and update employee records and HR databases</li>
<li>Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes</li>
<li>Prepare HR-related documents such as employment updates, offer letters, and termination paperwork</li>
<li>Support compliance efforts by organizing and maintaining confidential files</li>
<li>Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates and hiring managers</li>
<li>Conduct initial resume screenings for entry-level and intern positions</li>
<li>Coordinate and process pre-employment requirements, including reference checks, drug screens, and background checks.</li>
<li>Coordinate logistics for career fairs and recruitment events, including shipping materials and setting up booths</li>
<li>Prepare and distribute new hire and promotion announcements</li>
<li>Collaborate with IT to process and communicate promotion-related system changes, access updates, and user permissions.</li>
<li>Post job openings on internal and external platforms</li>
<li>Organize and ship promotional materials and supplies for career fairs and HR events</li>
<li>Track inventory of HR collateral and coordinate reorders as needed</li>
<li>Oversee new hire swag box inventory and distribution</li>
<li>Assist in planning employee engagement activities and recognition programs</li>
<li>Respond to routine employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures</li>
<li>Help coordinate training sessions and track attendance</li>
<li>Support payroll and benefits administration as needed</li>
<li>Assist with internal audits and reporting</li>
<li>Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned by the HR Manager</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred</li>
<li>2 &ndash; 4 years of experience in an HR or administrative role</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li>
<li>Proficiency with MS SharePoint (site navigation, document management, and basic updates).</li>
<li>Experience using Smartsheet for project tracking, workflows, and reporting.</li>
<li>Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion</li>
</ul>
Compensation Package:
<ul>
<li>Pay Range: $20.50 &ndash; $26.00 hr. (DOE)</li>
