Responsibilities 
Respond swiftly and professionally to emergency situations, including disturbances, threats, and potential criminal activity.<ul><li>
Monitor access points and perform security checks on vehicles and personnel.</li><li>
Maintain a clean motor vehicle record, as you may be required to operate a company vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities.</li><li>
Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as necessary to address incidents or security concerns.</li><li>
Enforce all company regulations, policies, and procedures while interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner.</li><li>
Provide detailed written reports, documenting all incidents and observations accurately and in a timely manner.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Be authorized to work in the U.S.</li><li>
You are 21 years old or older</li><li>
Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED</li><li>
You have a state security license (CT state Blue Card) valid armed endorsement</li><li>
Each armed employee must either be prior law enforcement officer with a minimum of 5 years experience; or a career military, or in law enforcement(e.g., police, corrections, or federal agencies)</li><li>
Have a minimum of six (6) months of armed work experience which may include military and/or law enforcement experience.</li><li>
Pass an LEAI Assessment (62% or higher)</li><li>
Candidate must pass government-required live-fire testing and meet minimum scores as established by the state of Connecticut.</li><li>
Candidate must complete a standard NRA course of fire with eighty percent (80%) proficiency</li><li>
Pass standard GWSS employee physical</li><li>
Pass modified agility exam to include lifting and moving and flexibility testing. (The Kraus Weber Test)</li><li>
Candidate must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). HPE is based on agility, walking, running and lifting</li><li>
Currently have or be able to attain all necessary immunizations</li><li>
Provide personally owned duty weapon (9mm caliber handgun &amp; three (3) magazines of a minimum 10 round capacity</li><li>
Complete certification to carry an approved less-lethal alternative. (OC Spray)</li><li>
Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>
Clean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a security vehicle</li><li>
Ability to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness</li><li>
First aid certification is an asset</li><li>
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift</li></ul>

Role: An Armed Patrol Security Officer ensures a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies. This role requires carrying a firearm and responding to threats with sound judgment and professionalism. Key responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance, verifying access, and responding to incidents such as alarms and emergencies. What You'll Do:
<ul><li>Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post at a financial institution location.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining awareness of people, property, and access points.</li>
<li>Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.</li>
<li>Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify authorized access, and help to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and professional interaction.</li>
<li>Complete required reports and documentation related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or observed conditions, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.</li>
<li>Possess an armed guard card and/or license.</li>
<li>Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.</li>
<li>Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.</li>
<li>CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.</li>
<li>Mus t have diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Participate in industry-specific security training programs.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
<li>A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.</li></ul>
