Responsibilities 
Respond swiftly and professionally to emergency situations, including disturbances, threats, and potential criminal activity.<ul><li>
Monitor access points and perform security checks on vehicles and personnel.</li><li>
Maintain a clean motor vehicle record, as you may be required to operate a company vehicle as part of your patrol responsibilities.</li><li>
Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as necessary to address incidents or security concerns.</li><li>
Enforce all company regulations, policies, and procedures while interacting with the public in a courteous and professional manner.</li><li>
Provide detailed written reports, documenting all incidents and observations accurately and in a timely manner.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Be authorized to work in the U.S.</li><li>
You are 21 years old or older</li><li>
Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED</li><li>
You have a state security license (CT state Blue Card) valid armed endorsement</li><li>
Each armed employee must either be prior law enforcement officer with a minimum of 5 years experience; or a career military, or in law enforcement(e.g., police, corrections, or federal agencies)</li><li>
Have a minimum of six (6) months of armed work experience which may include military and/or law enforcement experience.</li><li>
Pass an LEAI Assessment (62% or higher)</li><li>
Candidate must pass government-required live-fire testing and meet minimum scores as established by the state of Connecticut.</li><li>
Candidate must complete a standard NRA course of fire with eighty percent (80%) proficiency</li><li>
Pass standard GWSS employee physical</li><li>
Pass modified agility exam to include lifting and moving and flexibility testing. (The Kraus Weber Test)</li><li>
Candidate must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE). HPE is based on agility, walking, running and lifting</li><li>
Currently have or be able to attain all necessary immunizations</li><li>
Provide personally owned duty weapon (9mm caliber handgun &amp; three (3) magazines of a minimum 10 round capacity</li><li>
Complete certification to carry an approved less-lethal alternative. (OC Spray)</li><li>
Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>
Clean motor vehicle record and ability to operate a security vehicle</li><li>
Ability to respond to high-pressure situations with professionalism and calmness</li><li>
First aid certification is an asset</li><li>
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift</li></ul>

Role: An Armed Patrol Security Officer ensures a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors by enforcing security policies. This role requires carrying a firearm and responding to threats with sound judgment and professionalism. Key responsibilities include conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance, verifying access, and responding to incidents such as alarms and emergencies. <ul><li>Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.</li>
<li>Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the building, controlled access areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.</li>
<li>Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and policy violations in accordance with site protocols.</li>
<li>Support security-related operations for a financial institution by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and completing required reports and logs accurately and on time.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements:
<ul><li>An Armed Guard Card and/or license is required.</li>
<li>A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.</li>
<li>Customer service experience is preferred.</li>
<li>CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.</li>
<li>Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.</li>
<li>Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.</li>
<li>Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.</li>
<li>As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.</li>
<li>Participate in industry-specific security training programs.</li>
<li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.</li>
<li>A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.</li></ul>
