Field Investigator &ndash; Asset Protection<div>
The Field Investigator leads high priority asset protection cases involving organized retail crime, fencing operations, online marketplace, fraud, profit, .com, cargo theft and critical incidents. 
 
Primary Responsibilities 
 
<ul><li>Responsible for conducting investigative activities related to Organized Retail Crime (ORC). Gathers and analyzes intelligence on individuals and Booster Groups involved in ORC.</li><li>Conducts stationary, foot and mobile surveillances as necessary to develop case intelligence. Partners and consistently utilizes the Central Investigations Center to progress investigations to closure.  As a member of the Central Investigation Team (CIT), the Central Investigator is responsible for the direction and support of Organized Retail Fraud (ORC) investigations theft and fraud investigations within a specified area of the company. The CIT will work with various business partners (IT, Internal Audit, RDO's, DOM's, Store Ops, APM's and APS') and leverage all available investigative tools to eliminate and reduce company exposure to associate and external theft. Key responsibilities include: analyzing information, determination of exception data to drive investigation, communication and coordination of information to field teams and other partners and management of the investigative process. Coordination with law enforcement to ensure effective prosecution and restitution recovery The Central Investigator will collaborate, coordination with IT to develop new exception data, management of remote CCTV viewing to support investigative efforts, and case trend analysis to drive performance and to make recommendations to mitigate theft exposure. The CIT must be able to manage multiple tasks and to gain buy in and support of multiple partners to ensure a successful investigation process within their area of responsibility. The CIT must be effective at training and coaching, as they will support the field in understanding development of the investigative skill sets theft exposures within their area of responsibility. The CIT must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, as they will make recommendations to business partners for the elimination of procedural/policy issues that increase theft exposure. An Asset Protection Intelligence Investigator serves as a central resource for theft and fraud related information by collecting, reviewing, and sharing insights that help reduce loss across the organization. 
The role supports investigators, field partners, and law enforcement by helping identify, build, and prioritize leads, and by providing timely case support that enables action in the field. 
Success requires strong data and technology capability&mdash;comfort working with large amounts of information from sources like sales activity, online orders, other research tools, and store video&mdash;then using analytics tools (such as Google BigQuery, dashboards, and spreadsheets) to spot patterns confirm linkages, and quantify trends.

The RAPM works with the Regional and District teams to drive theft mitigation and shrink and ensure physical security processes provide safe and secure environment for store teams, associates and customers. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to gain cross functional support and alignment. The RAPM is responsible for coaching and training of the field Asset Protection teams within the region. The RAPM reports directly to the Sr Field AP Manager and leads a field team of Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers (MAPMs), Sr. Asset Protection Supervisors and Asset Protection Specialists. 
 
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
30% - Delivery and Execution - Maintains close alignment with Region/District leaders to monitor progress for shrink mitigation programs and awareness. Accountable for improved shrink performance, internal and external investigations for Theft and Fraud and Physical Security initiatives. Identifies and resolves issues to ensure the Asset Protection Field team meet strategic and metric performance goals. Execute the company's Asset Protection programs and initiatives within the region.</li><li>
40% - People - Responsible for onboarding and training for the Asset Protection field team, coaching and development and communication of all Asset Protection processes, programs, and trends. Drives accountability to the Asset Protection deliverables, including region, district and store shrink goals, and physical security standards with direct reports. Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates. Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams to ensure effective performance. Utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. The Regional Asset Protection Manager leads the Multi-Store Asset Protection Managers and the field team organization to drive alignment and engagement for all Asset Protection initiatives and programs that mitigate shrink, reduce theft and fraud, and maintain physical security standards. Development of teams that drive AP performance towards achievement of quality standards and performance metrics. Ensure priorities align with objectives and goals. Coach and mentor employees providing ongoing performance feedback. Develops leaders and builds a deep talent bench for leaders by driving the succession planning and selection; Drives the development of direct reports by conducting annual and mid-year reviews, reviewing individual development plans and providing performance feedback; Ensures adherence to major and minor work rule policies referenced in the Standards of Performance and all company SOPs. The Regional Asset Protection Manager is responsible selection, termination, compensation, performance appraisal, discipline, and professional development of direct reports.</li><li>
30% - Strategy and Planning - Drives communication and alignment to Regional and District team leaders on all AP initiatives, strategies and mitigation efforts to ensure awareness and alignment. Drives engagement for Asset Protection programs with store, district and regional leaders ensuring the execution of strategies and processes through the Multi-store Asset Protection Manager (MAPM) and field teams within an assigned region. Internal and external case activity, supporting investigative efforts, analyzing information and intelligence to establish prosecutable cases and restitution recovery. Leads outlier management of stores that have shrink results not meeting company shrink guidelines within a Region and adapt strategies as necessary with the field team to reduce shrink.</li></ul>

Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.</li></ul> 
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).</li></ul> 
Working Conditions:<ul><li>
Typically located in a comfortable indoor area. There may be regular exposure to mild physical discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes or odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts, or bright lights.</li></ul>

Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li>
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.</li></ul>
