<div>POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direct supervision of the Asset Protection Area Manager (APAM) the role of the Asset Protection Agent (APA) is to ensure the safety of our customers and associates along with the protection of company assets. The APA is the first and last impression of the WSS brand and must be helpful and courteous to our customers. To be effective at this job, APA should be detail-oriented team players with strong leadership and decision-making skills. 


Essential Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES 

<ul><li>
Monitor sales floor by providing ECS and using CCTV as needed to identify suspicious behavior.</li><li>
Handle emergency/crisis incidents while ensuring the safety and security of all store team members and customers.</li><li>
Notify APAM of all theft incidents or situations where law enforcement has been called.</li><li>
When able, assist with customer service and direct customers to the appropriate department and/or team members.</li><li>
Promote teamwork by educating store associates and new hires on safety and their role in preventing loss.</li><li>
Responsible for monitoring mis-mates, conducting cycle counts, managing the pilferage process, etc.</li></ul>

Position Purpose:
The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store/multiple stores.
