The goal is to ensure that free medical services are available, and accessible, to all victims of sexual offenses in our community.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Recruits and oversees training for new SANE nurses joining our program.</li><li>Schedules and implements trainings for the agency&rsquo;s SANE nurses in accordance with standards set forth by the New York State Department of Health, the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN), and the National Children&rsquo;s Alliance.</li><li>Holds quarterly meetings for all agency SANE nurses and partner agencies to discuss program updates, best practices, changes to guidelines, and any challenges encountered.</li><li>Meets, at a minimum annually, with hospital administrators and/or staff to discuss the SANE program, best practices, current guidelines, and any challenges encountered.</li><li>Participates in continuing education training in forensic procedures and related subjects to remain current in best practices and guidelines.</li><li>Oversees the agency's Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Regional Medical Program to include ensuring a proper space is available to utilize for medical exams, and all necessary equipment and supplies are available.</li><li>Assists in scheduling medical exams for child victims, explains the medical exam to the child and/or their non-offending caregiver, as needed, communicates with medical providers about the medical appointments made and assists with completing Office of Victim Services forms for reimbursement of the medical exam and potential future expenses related to the abuse.</li><li>Provides guidance to staff, contracted nurses, law enforcement, caseworkers, prosecutors and other partner agencies about best practices, techniques and general health related information when requested for current/ongoing cases.</li><li>Educates staff and team members about the purpose of the Child Advocacy Center medical exam and/or SANE exam.</li><li>Attends agency meetings to include Child Advocacy Center case review meetings to provide program updates, guidance, and expertise on cases being discussed.</li><li>Tracks competencies and continuing education of all the current contracted SANE&rsquo;s and Child Advocacy Center medical providers.</li><li>Provides direct services to victims of sexual assault and/or sexual abuse in a hospital setting, as needed.</li><li>Ensures proper contracts and linkage agreements are in place for the SANE program and the CAC Regional Medical Program.</li><li>Completes onboarding for all new contracted nurses and medical providers to include reviewing all program procedures and requirements with them, ensuring a background check is completed, giving tours of the medical facilities, and other tasks as required by the medical program.</li><li>Participates and/or coordinates public awareness and education presentations in schools, community centers, and other public forums that are designed to inform crime victims of specific rights and services and provide them with services and assistance.</li></ul>NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
First point of contact for the Leave of Absence Department; answers phone calls through the LOA phone line and responsible for managing the Ticketing system (Leave of Absence management request system).</li><li>
Responds to Team Member&rsquo;s requests regarding accommodation and eligibility for LOA received by the HR Leaves Department, assigns cases to the Leave &amp; Accommodation Partner, Sr. Leave Administrator, and or Manager, Leave Administration when necessary. Provides information for short-term and long-term disability benefits when requested.</li><li>
Completes Team Member intakes regarding a Leave of Absence or accommodation.</li><li>
Confirms Team Members leave request type based on eligibility, partners with Leave &amp; Accommodation Partner, Sr. Leave Administrator, and or Manager, Leave Administration as appropriate.</li><li>
Uses approved templates to send Leave Notifications and updates to Leadership.</li><li>

Scans, saves, and attaches all documentation into HRIS system in order to maintain confidentiality of documents and to remain compliant.</li><li>
