As the central point of contact for Public Works and Utilities, the Administrative Assistant II serves as the hub for public inquiries and internal staff support. This position provides administrative support and assistance to the Public Works and Utilities departments, including assisting with budget tracking, creation of materials, reports, and statistical data, reconciliation of purchasing cards, providing support and assistance to department staff, contractors, and the public with permit applications, tracking inspections, managing the master filing system and web pages, project support, and assisting with schedules and travel arrangements for Directors and Managers.

Performs a variety of departmental maintenance duties and performs skilled work in the operation of specialized equipment and vehicles in the operations and maintenance of the Town&rsquo;s cemeteries, parks, streets, water and wastewater systems. 
Assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; identify maintenance problems and areas; provide park, tree, weed, cemetery, road maintenance, water and wastewater services; implement policies and procedures. 
Perform park, cemetery, road repair and maintenance, water and wastewater repair and maintenance projects; select appropriate equipment and materials to complete the work according to specifications, written and/or verbal instructions, and established procedures; adapt equipment and materials to meet specific requirements of the work to be accomplished; use hand and power tools; communicate; operate some heavy equipment; drive trucks; have good depth perception; walk distances on uneven ground; visually inspect areas for safety; lift 50 pounds or more and climb ladders.

The City of Creve Coeur is seeking a motivated and skilled Civil Engineer (Grade 13) to join its Public Works Department. This position plays a key role in delivering the City&rsquo;s capital improvement program, including roadway, sidewalk, stormwater, parks, and other infrastructure projects, as well as grant-funded initiatives from local and federal sources. A background in stormwater and/or construction management is desirable. This position also supports the review of site improvement plans and right-of-way permits and may participate in evening committee and City Council meetings.
The City of Creve Coeur encompasses 10.25 square miles and is primarily residential, complemented by a vibrant business district along Olive Boulevard. The City serves approximately 18,725 residents, with a daytime population reaching up to 50,000 due to office and retail activity. The City maintains a roadway network of 162 lane miles supported by an annual Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget of $2&ndash;$3 million, depending on grant funding. DESCRIPTION:
Assists the Director of Public Works and the Assistant Public Works Director in overseeing construction activity, preparing contract documents, developing solutions to infrastructure challenges, reviewing permits, enforcing City codes, and improving internal review processes to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with City standards.  Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and Operations Director
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the Operations Director in managing the Executive Director&rsquo;s calendar, including scheduling meetings, donor visits, and internal coordination
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain the organization-wide calendar to track meetings, events, deadlines, and activities
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with preparation of correspondence, meeting minutes, reports, presentations, and other materials
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Meetings &amp; Board Support
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Schedule and coordinate staff meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes
 </li>
 <li>
 Under the guidance of the Operations Director, assist with the coordination of Board and committee meetings
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Program &amp; Event Coordination Support
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Under the guidance of the Operations Director, assist with coordination of CPR, AED, and First Aid training programs, including: scheduling and room reservations, instructor assignments, preparing meeting materials, and distribution of certification cards
 </li>
 <li>
 Support program tracking and basic administrative needs
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with event logistics, including: Medic One 50th Anniversary activities, Chief&rsquo;s Circle events, and Lifesavers Gala
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 2+ years of administrative or office support experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with scheduling, calendar management, and meeting coordination
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, board members, donors, and community partners
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work in-person full-time; this role is not eligible for remote work
 </li>
 <li>
 A proactive, team-oriented mindset and willingness to step in where needed
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Work Environment and Conditions:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Full-time, non-exempt position (40 hours week) Monday &ndash; Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work.
 </li>
 <li>
 In-office-role in Bellevue with occasional meetings and events offsite. Candidates should be local or able to commute daily. Relocation assistance is not provided and final interviews will be in person.
 </li>
 <li>

 Compensation and Benefits: Hourly:
