 Responsibilities:

 Train and qualify to work assigned post. Understands the specific and general post instructions for that assigned post. Maintain practical knowledge of all additional and emergency post instructions that are called for by the client.

 Maintain access control procedures set by building management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effectively utilize access control systems, visitor management systems and CCTV systems as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify all tenants and/or visitors upon arrival.
 </li>

 Ensure visitors and vendors are properly signed in prior to accessing the building.
 </li>
 <li>
 Observe departing personnel to guard against theft of tenant or building property.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor security cameras that are within the facility.
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to incidents including property emergencies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct general patrols of the entire property during various hours, if required, including numerous flights of stairs and frequent patrols of the exterior in any weather conditions.

 Ability to stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time.

 Assist tenants and visitors with directions and general business information.
 </li>

 Clearly and accurately record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of equipment, to building and Titan management.

 Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty.

 Education and/or Experience:
 
 High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience. Must be at least 18 years of age.

 Valid Security License if required by state, driver's license as applicable.
 
 
 
 Language Skills:
 
 Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

 Maintain good communication and work relationships in all areas of the hotel
 </li>

 Liaise with government and law enforcement agencies as necessary
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate additional personnel for Conference and Banqueting functions
 </li>
 <li>
 Organise patrolling of all boundary areas, bedrooms, offices, storage areas, public areas, and function rooms
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the hotel in complying with Local Fire Safety Legislation
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist the hotel with Local Safety Legislation to ensure compliance of the security department
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of the codes of practice for P.A.C.E.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure tours are carried out for the purpose of fire prevention, safe means of escape, and security
 </li>
 <li>
 Inquire as necessary into and report upon any thefts within the hotel using your discretion in connection with any of these matters that you deem should be reported to the police
 </li>
 <li>
 Direct and coordinate the activities of all security personnel, engage in the implementation of safety and security procedures for the department, and provide assistance and advice to other departments in relation to security
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare incident reports and ensure all allegations are properly followed up
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with Departmental Heads to ensure hotel staff is aware of their security responsibilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan, deliver and facilitate regular staff awareness training
 </li>

 Be fully conversant of company terrorist procedures and convey to staff
 </li>
 <li>
 Be fully conversant with hotel Fire and Emergency procedures
 </li>

Operational Ownership
 
In this role, I will work for the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.
 
I will work strategically with the Security Manager to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.
 
My scope of work includes: 
Keep abreast of security and safety trends and practices and updating knowledge and skills to improve.
 
Work on the rejuvenation of the security department.
 
Provide wide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss control, security best practices and security programs including strategic planning.
 
Provide guidance regarding "best practice" business security standards and solutions to maintain a secure environment for the protection of hosts, guests, property and information.
 
Monitor security conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internal sources and advise on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
 
Collaborate with all departments and external groups to effectively resolve security related issues.
 
Ensure all legal, statutory and financial requirements and documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, host management practices and budgetary controls are implemented, reviewed and maintained.
 
Maintain relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other issuers of security requirement.
 
Oversee and provide direction for major security related projects and physical security technologies including but not limited to various card key access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance systems, security services and data security systems and various other related systems.
 
Responsible for inspecting and securing the property’s guest areas, public areas and heart-of-the-house areas on a regular basis and ensuring any security and safety improvements are actioned within the designated time frame.
 
Develop and implement a security training strategy for the property together with Training Manager.
 
A high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene, plus comprehensive knowledge of safety, security and emergency procedures will be maintained by myself and all hosts in line with brand and statutory requirements.
 
Ensure that interaction and communications between departments within the property are clear and effectively maintained to support the smooth running of the property.
 
Complete accurately all corporate reporting requirements for the role.
 
Attend or conduct the designated meetings and briefings as instructed by the General Manager with a two-way flow of pertinent information and communications.
 
Perform any additional duties given to me by the General Manager.
