POSITION OVERVIEW

Manager-on-Duty / Shift Leadership<ul><li>
Act as the manager-on-duty during assigned shifts in the absence of the Store Manager</li><li>
Assume full responsibility for store operations, team performance, and customer experience during the shift</li><li>
Direct, prioritize, and assign work to CSRs to ensure efficient and effective operations</li><li>
Monitor performance and provide real-time coaching, guidance, and corrective instruction as needed</li><li>
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and cash-handling guidelines</li><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues, emergencies, and operational concerns</li><li>
Document and communicate shift activities, incidents, and follow-up needs to store management</li></ul> 
Customer Service<ul><li>
Greet and acknowledge every customer to create a welcoming environment</li><li>
Assist customers and provide product or service recommendations</li><li>
Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally and resolve issues within policy guidelines</li><li>
Escalate unresolved issues to store management when appropriate</li><li>
Monitor store activity and report suspicious behavior or safety concerns</li><li>
Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and guests</li></ul> 
Sales and Cash Handling<ul><li>
Promote customer loyalty and enroll customers in the rewards program</li><li>
Stay informed on current promotions, advertised products, and sales</li><li>
Upsell by recommending complementary or similar items</li><li>
Accurately process transactions using the POS system while following cash-handling and loss prevention procedures</li><li>
Ensure all items are scanned, paid for, and secured, especially high-risk merchandise</li><li>
Verify ID and comply with age-restricted sales laws and policies</li><li>
Ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and promotional updates</li><li>
Explain car wash programs and assist with traffic flow during peak times if applicable</li></ul> 
Store Cleanliness and Appearance
Interior:<ul><li>
Maintain clean, sanitary, and well-stocked restrooms, food service stations, and customer spaces</li><li>
Empty interior trash receptacles and keep register area clean, neat, and organized</li><li>
Respond to spills and maintain clean organized cooler and storage areas</li><li>
Ensure floors, displays, and merchandise are organized and maintained according to merchandising standards and planograms</li></ul> 
Exterior:<ul><li>
Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the exterior area, including parking lot, fueling areas, entrances, and dumpster areas</li><li>
Ensure safety by shoveling and salting walkways, pump areas, and car wash entrance/exit if applicable and notifying maintenance of any lighting issues</li><li>
Maintain fuel station and dispenser areas by cleaning equipment, monitoring conditions, replenishing supplies, and reporting issues as needed</li><li>
Monitor exterior equipment and fixtures for cleanliness, functionality, and signs of damage or tampering and report issues as needed</li><li>
Perform tasks such as picking up trash, emptying trash receptacles, basic landscaping upkeep, minor painting or touch-up tasks, and spill response as needed</li></ul> 
Operational Support<ul><li>
Prepare and serve food items in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards</li><li>
Audit inventory on a regular basis; including lottery, cigarettes, other tobacco products</li><li>
Review DVR system to monitor store activity.</li><li>
Support inventory management activities including receiving deliveries, stocking merchandise, rotations, product placement, and removing expired or damaged products</li><li>
Monitor in-ground gasoline storage inventory.</li><li>
Troubleshoot and report any equipment or maintenance issues.</li><li>
Support store operations during high-volume periods, staffing shortages, or special promotions as needed</li><li>
Responsible for recruiting and training new team members</li><li>
Run daily reports, reconcile shift sheets, complete PDI reporting, and banking procedure. Responsible for transport of bank deposit to bank</li><li>
Utilize available reports and data to develop and implement plans to maximize sales to meet or exceed goals and objectives.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager</li></ul> 
Requirements:<ul><li>
Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and provide support 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by being on duty or on call.</li><li>
Provide support and coverage to store as needed, occasionally beyond regularly scheduled work times.</li><li>
Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license</li><li>
Must have access to a reliable vehicle for banking purposes</li><li>
Basic reading, writing and math skills</li><li>
Ability to operate point of sale, store, and car wash equipment</li><li>
Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards</li><li>
Maintain proper uniform standards while on duty</li><li>
Must meet the minimum age requirements for selling alcohol in the state in which the position is located (18 years of age in Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, 21 years of age in Illinois)</li></ul>

Education and Experience:<ul><li>
Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Prior customer service or cashier experience</li><li>
Previous experience supervising others is preferred.</li></ul> 
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time</li><li>
Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions</li><li>
Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>
Ability to perform physical tasks requiring moderate exertion in varying outdoor weather conditions</li></ul>
