</b></p><p>THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT LOYOLA UNIVERSITY MARYLAND invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor to begin July 2027. While specialty area is open, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in clinical and/or counseling psychology. Area of subject matter expertise is also open. We especially encourage applications from candidates whose expertise prepares them to teach needed courses in the department. Such expertise includes psychological assessment (personality assessment, cognitive assessment, assessment and appraisal), developmental or clinical-developmental psychology (child, adolescent, lifespan, gero psychology) , research (research methods, statistics, measurement), biopsychology, neuropsychology, and/or health psychology. Candidates can explore the courses offered in our degree programs at this link .
</p><p></p><p>The individual selected for this position will be able to contribute to the robust teacher-scholar identity of the department and be able to teach courses in their specialty area. Tenure-track faculty teach 6 courses per academic year (5 in their first year) and engage actively in research related to their chosen fields of study and scholarly expertise. Tenure-track faculty receive a tenure-track research sabbatical (typically in their 4th year) and can apply for funds to support teaching innovations and research-related expenses. Additional funding is available for professional travel, and may include research start-up costs. In addition to teaching (50%) and research (30%) expectations, tenure-track faculty mentor undergraduate and graduate students and participate meaningfully in the life of the department and university through service (20%). Department service supports all programs, and includes supervising PsyD dissertations and the opportunity to supervise undergraduate research (with opportunities for accrued compensation). We encourage applicants from candidates with strong leadership potential and interest in serving significant post-tenure departmental and university leadership roles.</p>

Priority will be given to candidates with experience in <b>biopsychology, cognitive neuroscience, industrial-organizational psychology, or sports psychology</b>. The psychology department is interested in providing students with opportunities to understand the application of biological and neuroscience principles to human thought, emotion, and behavior, or alternatively, opportunities to learn from experts in more applied fields, specifically industrial-organizational psychology or sports psychology. Experts in applied fields should have a strong orientation towards research. Prospective applicants will be housed in the recently renovated Dyson building which includes multiple distinct psychology labs with dedicated spaces for small, medium, and large participant running rooms; equipment to support investigating areas such as cognitive, biological, social, and developmental psychological phenomena; separate areas for meeting with undergraduate research assistants and much more.</p>

 The Mechanical Engineering (MEEN) Program of Texas A&amp;M University at Qatar (http://www.qatar.tamu.edu/) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant level. The position is in the areas of robotics and autonomous systems, with preference given to candidates with expertise in emerging technologies with novel theoretical developments and practical applications, such as industrial robotics; control, autonomous systems; intelligent robotics for exploration, manufacturing, and construction; advanced sensor and actuation technologies; mechatronics and human-machine interaction and applications of artificial intelligence to robotics and autonomous systems. Faculty at Texas A&amp;M University Qatar Campus (TAMUQ) are of two types: instructional track and research track. This position is a research-track position at the assistant level. The official title for this position is Research Assistant Professor, with the working title of Engineering Assistant Professor. Research-track faculty at TAMUQ are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop an independent research program, as well as to engage through scholarship within the university and their discipline.

 This non-tenure track position assumes a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated start date of Spring 2024 or Fall 2024, depending on the applicant's availability. The hired faculty member is eligible to receive a startup package that covers the summer salary for three years. Following this period, faculty members at Texas A&amp;M at Qatar have a 9-month appointment and may cover the salary of the remaining months from externally funded grants and/or teaching and services.

Duties & Responsibilities
