Completes all duties assigned before end of shift.</li><li>Observes residents and notes physical condition, attitude, reactions, appetite, etc. Reports any changes in condition.</li><li>Assists residents with activities of daily living.</li><li>Bathes residents as assigned.</li><li>Dresses residents as assigned.</li><li>Grooms&rsquo; residents as assigned.</li><li>Shaves male residents when needed.</li><li>Keeps incontinent residents always clean and dry. Changes bed linens and clothing as needed.</li><li>Assists residents to and from restroom, if assigned.</li><li>Encourages residents to perform ADL&rsquo;s which they are capable of.</li><li>Assists residents to meals and supervises residents in dining rooms. Assists with trays and helps feed residents if appropriate.</li><li>Reminds residents to take mediations if appropriate for traditional assisted living only. (State law prohibits any form of handling meds by anyone but relatives or licensed R.N. memory care)</li><li>Makes beds, sets room in order, keeps drawers and closets neat if appropriate. Vacuums, mops, bathrooms, dusts, and general housekeeping. Checks expiration dates on foods.</li><li>Prepares residents for rests, physician visits, therapy, activities, church, etc. Transports</li><li>residents and assists with the above activities as needed. (When applicable)</li><li>Performs personal services for residents within reason such as reading to them, writing</li><li>letters for them, operating TV, and radio, and assisting them with recreational and therapy</li><li>projects in their rooms, etc.</li><li>Uses gait belt when transferring and walking residents if needed. Uses proper body</li><li>mechanics always.</li><li>Assists relatives, visitors, and guests.</li><li>Applies standard precautions to prevent spread of disease and infections such as washing hands.</li><li>Charts required information. Takes and records vital signs if necessary and applicable.</li><li>Answers call lights promptly.</li><li>Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, calm environment, personal interest</li><li>and positive emphasis. Maintains a cooperative attitude with peers and other departments.</li><li>Maintains confidentiality of all residents&rsquo; information. Observes residents&rsquo; rights.</li><li>Reports all accidents/incidents to the Assisted Living Director as soon as possible.</li><li>Assures that all work areas are clean, and that equipment and supplies are properly stored. Sanitizes equipment as needed.</li><li>Uses work orders to report any need for maintenance and repair of rooms, furniture, or equipment.</li><li>Gives on-the-job training to new agency personnel as directed by the Assisted Living Director.</li><li>Responsible for notifying the Assisted Living Director immediately in case of resident abuse or suspected resident abuse.</li><li>Performs other and related duties as assigned.</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours.</li><li>Is subject to frequent interruptions.</li><li>Is involved with residents, personnel, visitors, government agencies personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.</li><li>Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, employees, etc.</li><li>May work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, holidays, and in other positions temporarily in staff emergencies, and to ensure proper care for all residents.</li><li>Must be able to lift, pull, push, and move equipment, supplies, etc.</li></ul>Minimum Training, Experience and Certification Requirements<ul><li>Able to read, write and follow oral and written directions.</li><li>Able to maintain a good working relationship with other personnel and departments.</li><li>Must be able to spend approximately 95% of work time walking, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, or lifting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and use good body mechanics.</li></ul>Benefits: It is Snyder Village's policy to provide its staff members with additional benefits. These benefits include paid time off, and affordable insurance, as well as many others.Insurance Programs:Health, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance are available to all full-time employees. Insurances will begin on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.Health:There are 2 options for medical insurance, a PPO, and a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). The PPO offers a $1500 deductible with a max out-of-pocket of $4500. All preventative care services are covered at 100% by insurance. All generic prescriptions are a $10 copay. Most Carle providers would be in-network.The HDHP plan offers $3,800 deductible with a max out-of-pocket of $6,100. All preventative care services are covered at 100% by insurance. Most Carle providers would be in-network. This plan also works with our Health Savings account.Health Savings Account:Snyder Village offers a health savings account through EPIC! If a staff member is contributing to the H.S.A. Snyder Village (SV) will also contribute to their balance. SV offers $0.50 for every $1 a staff member contributes up to $1300 per year.Dental:Dental coverage is through the Guardian network. Offering a deductible of $50 for in-network services and 100% covered preventative care services.Vision: VSP coverage is through Guardian but with the VSP network. Exams are a $10 copay with any in-network provider. Exams are covered once every 12 months, lenses once every 12 months, and frames are covered once every 24 months.Basic Life and AD&amp;D: Any staff member who enrolls in medical coverage will receive $10000 in company-paid life insurance and AD&amp;D through Guardian.Voluntary Life Insurance: Through Guardian staff members may select additional life insurance for themselves, their spouse, or their children. A staff member can select a policy for themselves in $25000, $50000, $75000, or $100000. Spousal coverage can be selected for up to 50% of employee coverage. Coverage for children can be selected for each child up to $10000.Short-Term Disability: Short Term Disability insurance is provided through AFLAC. The plan is designed to replace part of a staff members&rsquo; paycheck in the case of an illness, injury or surgery that prevents you from working according to the doctor&rsquo;s orders. Staff members receive approximately 60% of their gross pay.401k:All staff members are enrolled to the 401k retirement program through Empower on their 91st day of employment at 3% of their salary. However, Snyder Village will contribute and match an employee&rsquo;s contribution by up to 5% on their salary. Each staff member accrues up to 40 hours of PPD.Sick PayOnce a full-time staff member has completed 1 year of employment, they are given 80 hours of sick time to use for a serious illness requiring more than 5 days off from work.Tuition ReimbursementSnyder Village values the professional and personal development of our staff members. Tuition reimbursement is available for education expenses such as course fees, technical training, certification programs, or other needed resources. Reimbursement will also be provided for successful certificate completion, up to six-course hours per semester.ScholarshipSnyder Village provides up to 2 nursing scholarships per year to staff members pursuing an RN or LPN degree.
