OVERVIEW:

Reporting to a Partner or Senior Associate, Associate Attorneys are responsible for managing Immigration Assistants and Paralegals in the filing of assigned immigration case work.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Position
Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an Entry Level Associate Attorney who is admitted (or pending admission) in NY to join our rapidly growing firm. We are seeking an attorney who is ready and willing to put in the work to succeed individually and to help us grow. The ideal candidate is aggressive, has effective communication skills, is highly motivated and hardworking. The right individual will be able to provide the quality of work that our clients have come to expect from our firm. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Draft, Review and File Summons &amp; Complaint, Dispositive Motions, and other relevant responsive pleadings.</li><li>
Position may require travel to local state courts to appear on settlement conferences, status conferences and other dispositive motions/hearings.</li><li>

Compensation/Benefits

A Day in the Life of an Associate Attorney
As a civil litigation Associate, your day will be multi-faceted, offering a blend of independent work and team collaboration. You'll begin by managing your own caseload from start to finish-drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, all while keeping a keen eye on details and deadlines. You'll also prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, providing you with valuable courtroom experience.
Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop effective litigation strategies. Regular communication with clients will be a central part of your day, as you provide them with status updates and interim written reports on the progress of their cases. Additionally, you'll conduct thorough legal research, preparing memoranda to support case strategy, and working alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
What Matters Most
To succeed as an Associate Attorney (Transportation) - New York, NY, you will need a robust set of skills and qualifications.
<ul><li>A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar are essential prerequisites.
