JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Buyer will support day-to-day coverage of merchant activities as a member of the PA retail team. Navigating a fast-paced demand environment, the Associate Buyer will primarily support the execution of product allocations and orders across all stores in the state. They will leverage their knowledge of cannabis and buying experience to curate a best-in-class product assortment and promotional offering for Sunnyside retail stores.

CORE JOB DUTIES
<ul>
<li> Manage and optimize product allocations across all stores to ensure optimal inventory levels, meeting demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts, thereby contributing to enhanced sales performance and customer satisfaction</li>
<li>Own purchase order authorship of internal transfers from Wholesale inventory with the internal Portal to ensure visibility provided to accounting and store teams on delivery order details</li>
<li>Communicate to and develop strong relationships with both retail and wholesale teams to ensure product assortment and pricing is accurately reflected in-store and online</li>
<li>Conduct analysis of PA dispensaries to report competitive assortment and pricing strategies to leadership.</li>
<li>Execute the programming of specials for upcoming promotions with meticulous attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines, ensuring accurate implementation and alignment with strategic objectives, thereby maximizing promotional effectiveness and driving sales growth</li>
<li>Partner with the Marketing team to ensure promotions are executed and messaged effectively and accurately across all stores</li>
<li>Identify assortment gaps based on SKU count and inventory level targets in collaboration with Merchandise Planners</li>
<li>Monitor and update vault capacity targets by store, including working with store teams to ensure targets are accurate and future orders are within the optimal inventory levels</li>
<li>Collaborate with store teams on a frequent basis with updates on product assortment, pricing, promotions, vendor deliveries and in-store events</li>
<li>Deep dive on sales and inventory reporting to better understand the drivers of business performance</li>
<li>Resolve discrepancies with vendor invoices, purchase orders, and manifests</li>
<li>Identify data discrepancies between reporting tools and POS systems</li>

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
 <ul><li>1-2 years' experience in retail buying and merchandising
</li><li>Prior experience in the cannabis industry preferred (ideally at the dispensary or cultivation facility level)

<ul><li>Purchase order management: Ability to enter buys into the system with an understanding of how the product and deliveries affect the company&rsquo;s overall goal. Ability to reconcile and report receipts monthly and demonstrate financial responsibility for success of business
</li><li>Manage Style Outs: Responsible for sample management for respective brands and coordinating pass offs to marketing, ecom, and visual merchandising teams. Work efficiently creating visual presentations of product information and color, that can be used by VM, Marketing and Ecommerce teams.
</li><li>Merchandise Analysis: Analyze weekly and monthly sales, stock, and on-order with the goal of optimizing sales and minimizing markdowns. Identify Key Trending in the marketplace and react quickly, both major and minor, in the business, whether they be product related, or store related. </li><li>Merchandise Planning: Works closely with the Buyer and Planner revising plans to ensure that sales and margin are optimized by class. Scope of Position
As the Associate MRP Buyer, you will be responsible for executing purchase orders generated by the MRP system and ensuring the accuracy of planning signals that drive replenishment.
