The Communications Manager for Johns Hopkins Medicine drives the development and execution of strategic public relations and media-focused communications programs that advance institutional and external objectives. We&rsquo;ve cared for patients with cardiac arrhythmias since we opened the region&rsquo;s first program dedicated to these conditions in 1985.</div><div></div><div><br>
We are seeking a nurse practitioner (or physician assistant) to join our Heart Rhythm team at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. In this role, the NP/PA would focus on performing consultations in the hospital and seeing patients for pre-procedure management. The NP/PA will be working with several of our experienced attending physicians whom will be trusted and supporting mentors to promote learning, growth, and career development.</div><div></div><div><br>
Successful applicants will have a background in cardiology and/or have experience as a clinician in the hospital setting.<br>

Work responsibility will be four 10-hour shifts a week Monday through Friday. No nighttime, weekend, or on-call duties. There may be additional growth opportunities in the future for this role as outpatient clinic operations expand.<br>
<br>
<b>Nurse Practitioners preferred to have ACNP certification. FNP's considered with background in cardiology.</b></div><div><b><br>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.</li><li>
NP - Nurse Practitioner (or) PA - Physician Assistant- Licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s). May require specialty license based on location. required and</li><li>
CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days <b>required</b></li><li>
Superior Verbal and Written Communication Skills <b>required</b></li><li>
Basic Computer Skills <b>required</b> with clinical EMR experience <b>preferred</b></li></ul><div><b><br>
