The <b>Associate Sales Representative</b> for Radiometer is responsible for selling Radiometer&rsquo;s full product portfolio which includes blood gas analyzers, samplers, TC monitors, and IT solutions via telephone, electronic, or other methods to customers in assigned region or accounts. The Getty Marrow Audience Engagement Intern will play an integral role within the Exhibitions Unit as the Museum prepares to reopen its Pavilion. Immersed in the dynamic process of bringing the institution&rsquo;s new permanent exhibition to life, the Intern will collaborate closely with multiple departments to ensure a seamless and engaging visitor experience.</p><div><p><b><br>

The Japanese American National Museum is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to sharing the experience of Americans of Japanese ancestry.</p></div>
</div><div><div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></h2>
</div><div><div><ul><li>Working closely with the VP of Exhibitions and Art Director, they will develop innovative tools and resources to deepen audience connection with the exhibition. They will take the responsibility in creating an orientation for volunteers and visitors, and in operationalizing the exhibition&rsquo;s interactive and media-based components. This includes training staff to operate these features effectively, ensuring that the visitor experience is both meaningful and smooth.</li><li>
Throughout the Internship, the Getty Marrow Audience Engagement Intern will strengthen their research and writing skills while learning the fundamentals of designing and producing interactive elements. They will gain hands-on experience with the software programs used in exhibition development and will learn how to create presentations and mock-ups to communicate ideas and train stakeholders. The goal of the Getty Marrow Audience Engagement Internship is to give the Intern the opportunity to enhance the audience experience and provide opportunities for audiences to connect with the Japanese American experience.</li><li>

The internship opportunities are intended for students from backgrounds underrepresented in museums and the visual arts professions, Eligible candidates from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for consideration. Be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in a bachelor&rsquo;s or associate degree program and have completed at least one semester or 2 quarters of college by June 2026. Students who graduated the semester or quarter immediately before the internship begins are also eligible.</li><li>
Attend college in or be a permanent resident of Los Angeles County.</li><li>
Be a US citizen or permanent resident eligible to be legally employed in the US. Students with DACA status valid through the internship period are also eligible.</li></ul><p>
Additionally, please note that:</p><ul><li>
Students who have previously served as Getty Marrow Undergraduate Interns at the Japanese American National Museum are <i>not</i> eligible for consideration.</li><li>
Students enrolled in a second BA or BS or higher degree program are <i>not</i> eligible.</li><li>

</div><div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Experience/Knowledge</b></h3>
<div><p>Interest in Museum Education and Audience Engagement work preferred. Previous experience in developing interactive activities for a museum gallery is beneficial. Willingness to learn and apply new skills. Strong proofreading skills. Professional phone manner is essential. Ability to discern how to prioritize, plan, and manage tasks according to firm deadlines, clearly communicate delays, and respond to request in a timely manner is required. Being able to work well in a team as well as working independently is imperative. Demonstrated commitment and flexibility in order to ensure a high level of quality service. Ability to adjust and provide appropriate action when unanticipated need arises. Knowledge of Japanese American history and culture a plus.</p></div>

<div><p>Has excellent communication and negotiation skills. Must be able to provide courteous and effective service to co-workers, volunteers, and the general public. Is able to read, write, and comprehend routine reports and correspondence, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Is able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group format and large group format.</p></div>

<div><p>Is Computer literate, Internet savvy, and experienced with MS Office and Google Suite is required. Experienced using scanners, photocopiers, and printers required. Familiarity with Asana and Adobe Creative Suite is beneficial. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.</p></div>

The Audience Engagement Intern will have their own desk in the Exhibitions office. They will have a computer with access to the JANM network, internet, a scanner, photocopier, and printer. They will have access to Adobe Creative Suite, Digital Printing, and a host of art production tools. The intern will be in a location approximately 10 feet away from the primary supervisor. They will also have access to a clean space to produce physical artworks and comps of ideas as they would be seen within the exhibition.</p><p></p><p><br>
The Getty Marrow Audience Engagement Internship at the Japanese American National Museum is a Temporary, Full-Time Internship position from June 15 to August 21, 2026.
