In this pivotal role, you will partner with the Product Safety Evaluation group and other key stakeholders to lead product safety assessments for all over-the-counter (OTC) drug and cosmetic products marketed in the U.S. You will serve as a technical authority, providing direction and supervision to ensure the highest standards of consumer safety and regulatory excellence.

<b>A Day in the Life:</b> As an Associate Principal Scientist in Post Market Safety, your responsibilities will include:

<li>Medical Assessment & Vigilance: Perform expert medical assessments of adverse event case reports for seriousness, causality, and expectedness, maintaining the integrity of our vigilance operations.</li>
<li>Global Safety Analysis: Conduct global post-marketing safety analyses requested by cross-functional partners (Marketing, Product Safety, and Global PMS), translating safety data into strategic insights.</li>
<li>Regulatory Reporting: Lead the quality review and timely submission of all OTC drug and cosmetic MedWatch reports to the FDA, managing correspondence with partner companies and vendors.</li>
<li>Case Management & Follow-up: Query vendor databases to review adverse events and ensure appropriate follow-up. Notify relevant partner contacts and manufacturing sites of potential quality-related complaints.</li>
<li>Medical Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for case-related inquiries from the L'Oréal Call Center and Global PMS team. You will also prepare patch test letters and kits for physicians upon request.</li>
<li>Technical Stewardship: Maintain accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and archiving of all safety-related information in compliance with global SOPs.</li>

The Department of Environmental Quality is looking to fill an Air Monitoring Scientist (Environmental Scientist III) position in the Division of Air Quality. This position may be filled at any of the advertised levels listed below. Salary depends on the job level offered within the series.</p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Operate, calibrate, and perform complex repairs on ambient air monitoring equipment to ensure continuous data collection and minimal downtime.</li><li>
Utilize advanced analytical equipment to measure and evaluate air pollutants in accordance with established scientific protocols.</li><li>
Execute all field and laboratory activities in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and state/federal environmental regulations.</li><li>
Implement rigorous quality control requirements to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and legal defensibility of environmental data.</li><li>
Maintain meticulous Chain of Custody documentation for all samples from initial collection through laboratory analysis and final disposal.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
</b><b>Qualifications</b></p><p><b><br>
Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Experience working in and around analytical equipment and instruments.
</li><li>Experience ensuring quality control measures are followed.</li><li>
Experience operating, troubleshooting and repairing scientific instrumentation and air monitoring equipment i.e., gas chromatography instruments, particulate samplers, gaseous analyzers for NOx, ozone, CO, SO2 and VOC&rsquo;s.</li><li>
Experience conducting laboratory analysis of samples including prepping and weighing filter material.</li><li>
Ability and experience working independently, including working at off-campus locations.<br>
</li><li>
Ability to operate, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment including air monitoring equipment.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and integrate seamlessly with existing staff.</li><li>
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work products.</li><li>
Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p><b>
Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor degree or higher in a science related field including computer science.</li><li>
An understanding of the principles related to pollution monitoring, research methods and data collection protocols.</li><li>
Completion of the APTI 470 course, or equivalent.</li><li>
Certifications from API Teledyne or Thermo Scientific related to instrument training.</li></ul><p><b>
Other Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
Possession of a valid driver&rsquo;s license and the ability to travel throughout the state as required.</li><li>
Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.<br>

Job Series</b></p><p>
The selected candidate for this position may be brought in as an Environmental Scientist I with a salary range of $25.27 - $37.95 per hour, an Environmental Scientist II with a salary range of $29.73 - $44.66 per hour, or an Environmental Scientist III with a salary range of $34.98 - $52.56 per hour.</p><p></p><p><b>

The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is seeking a dedicated, skilled, and innovative Applied Scientist with a robust background in machine learning, statistics, quality assurance, auditing methodologies, and automated evaluation systems to ensure the highest standards of data quality, to build industry-leading technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems.<br>

Key job responsibilities<br>
As part of the AGI team, an Applied Scientist will collaborate closely with core scientist team developing Amazon Nova models. They will lead the development of comprehensive quality strategies and auditing frameworks that safeguard the integrity of data collection workflows. This includes designing auditing strategies with detailed SOPs, quality metrics, and sampling methodologies that help Nova improve performances on benchmarks. The Applied Scientist will perform expert-level manual audits, conduct meta-audits to evaluate auditor performance, and provide targeted coaching to uplift overall quality capabilities. A critical aspect of this role involves developing and maintaining LLM-as-a-Judge systems, including designing judge architectures, creating evaluation rubrics, and building machine learning models for automated quality assessment. The Applied Scientist will also set up the configuration of data collection workflows and communicate quality feedback to stakeholders. An Applied Scientist will also have a direct impact on enhancing customer experiences through high-quality training and evaluation data that powers state-of-the-art LLM products and services.<br>

A day in the life<br>
An Applied Scientist with the AGI team will support quality solution design, conduct root cause analysis on data quality issues, research new auditing methodologies, and find innovative ways of optimizing data quality while setting examples for the team on quality assurance best practices and standards. Besides theoretical analysis and quality framework development, an Applied Scientist will also work closely with talented engineers, domain experts, and vendor teams to put quality strategies and automated judging systems into practice.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
