Crescent Child Development Services, LLC is seeking applicants for an available ABA therapy position working in our North Charleston clinic, local private schools and community/home settings. Both entry-level applicants and experienced Registered Behavior Technicians will be considered for available employment opportunities working 1:1 with children 2 to 18 years of age with autism spectrum disorders. 
The Crescent Mission is to create a positive difference and significantly improve the quality of life of children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental delays by providing effective, high-quality and affordable ABA therapy across environments, based on individual client needs. We are committed to providing culturally sensitive and appropriate care to a diverse population and establishing cooperative partnerships through trust, respect and communication with each client and their family. 
Clients are seen in our North Charleston clinic, schools, daycares, other community locations and in some instances, their homes.
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Duties</h3>
ABA therapy jobs entail providing instruction in cognitive areas as well as communication, socialization, play skills, motor development, and self-help skills while focusing on behavioral improvement across domains. Those new to the field will receive training to become a Registered Behavior Technician and will need to successfully complete the training over the first three months of employment to assure continued employment. Employment is hourly, W-2, with therapy provided in our North Charleston clinic, daycares, schools, community environments, and/or the client's home.<ul><li>
Therapist schedules are developed based on therapist/client availability and the distance of clients from the therapist's home.</li><li>
Therapists are thoughtfully assigned to clients based on skills and personality.</li><li>
Starting hourly wage will be commensurate with experience, dedication and pursuit of advanced training and educational background. Opportunities for advancement, eligibility for 401K and consideration for salaried positions are available with continued employment. Summer Employment, Internships and BCBA/BCaBA supervision will be considered.</li></ul>

Candidates must have reliable transportation, internet access and have or complete certification in First Aid/CPR and a current PPD test paid for by Crescent. Work of this nature requires a love of children, maturity, dependability, independence in completing work assignments, flexibility, good communication skills, ability to work as a part of a team and a willingness to learn. Entry-level applicants particularly well suited for this type of employment include those with nanny/teaching experience or pursuing degrees in education, psychology or other health related professions. Experience in these areas is welcome, but not necessary. Training and behavioral programming will be provided as well as consistent supervision, consultation and ongoing training by senior level staff and BCBA/BCaBAs. Provision of supervision and participation in a training program to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will be provided.

To help you prepare for the role, MeBe offers one of the top ABA training programs using the Vincent Carbone method. We will invest in two weeks of paid training to prepare you to pass your RBT exam. MeBe Family will also pair you with Supervisors to shadow, ask questions and guide you.

About What You&rsquo;ll Work On:
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communication, mental health and behavioral challenges.
Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a &ldquo;developmental disorder&rdquo; because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. People with ASD may face a wide range of issues, which means that there is no single best treatment for ASD. Working closely with a health care provider like MeBe Family is an important part of finding the right combination of treatment and services. (Reference, National Institute of Mental Health)
As a Behavior Technician,<ul><li>
You'll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism at MeBe&rsquo;s Learning Center.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll relay info on your kiddos&rsquo; progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.</li><li>
At the end of each session, you&rsquo;ll accurately record the kiddo&rsquo;s behavior analysis and progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll help with projects and tasks as directed by your Site Director and Clinical Supervisors.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate and take co-ownership of treatment planning.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.</li><li>
You&rsquo;ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Consistent availability from Monday through Friday. Part-time shifts available.</li><li>
Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li><li>
RBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)</li><li>
TRICARE certification is preferred.</li><li>
Prefer a background in child care; teaching, counseling, babysitting.</li><li>
Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run, (without reasonable accommodations), see with prescription lenses, and hear with hearing aids.</li><li>
Previous training in First Aid Certified and CPR is preferred</li><li>
Ability to pass a background check.</li><li>
Ability to work with computers.</li><li>
Must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients</li><li>
Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in areas like Pediatrics or Human Development (Biology) is preferred.</li></ul>
