Develop and improve automation solutions for production lines and special-purpose machines (PLC/HMI, sensors, actuators) to ensure stable and efficient operations.</li><li>
Lead commissioning activities for new machines/lines and support FAT/SAT processes with internal teams and suppliers.</li><li>
Implement and optimize machine vision applications to improve detection accuracy and reduce quality escapes.</li><li>
Establish and maintain machine-to-machine communication and data acquisition (industrial networks / IoT) to support digitalization and traceability.</li><li>
Perform systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis (5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.), define corrective actions, and ensure sustainable closure.</li><li>
Drive continuous improvement projects using Kaizen / Lean / Six Sigma methods to enhance OEE, reduce downtime, scrap, and cycle time.</li><li>
Create, update, and validate technical documentation (Time-Path diagrams, pneumatic schematics, EPLAN drawings, work/maintenance instructions) with proper revision control.</li><li>
Coordinate effectively with Production, Maintenance, Quality, IT and suppliers; provide technical guidance and trainings when required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
What do I need to qualify for this job?</b></p><p></p><ul><li>
University degree in Mechatronics / Mechanical / Electrical-Electronics Engineering (or related fields)</li><li>
Proven experience in automation concepts and PLC programming (preferably Siemens) and HMI commissioning</li><li>
Experience with machine vision systems and applications (e.g., Keyence, Cognex, or similar)</li><li>
Knowledge and hands-on practice in Industrial Communication / IoT concepts (e.g., Profinet/Profibus, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP; OPC UA is a plus)</li><li>
Experience in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma projects; strong problem-solving mindset (5 Why, Ishikawa, etc.)</li><li>
Ability to create/read Time-Path Diagrams; competence in pneumatic schematics and EPLAN drawing/reading</li><li>
Basic statistics knowledge; able to analyze process data; Minitab experience is preferred</li><li>
Good command of written and spoken English; German is an asset</li><li>
Willingness to work in a production environment and provide hands-on support during commissioning and critical issues when needed</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
