SAIC is seeking a motivated and energetic senior level QA Automation Engineer to join our team to begin an exciting and challenging career in Ashburn, VA.

The Automation Engineer will participate in software testing, creation and implementation of Test Strategies, Plans, and Automated Test Scripts as well as other aspects of the software development lifecycle. The candidate will be responsible for developing and testing Java code as dictated by project requirement.

This position is hybrid-remote and requires 2 days on-site per week in Ashburn, VA.

Job Responsibilities &ndash;

Collaborates with the Product Delivery Manager to execute on key delivery tasks and identify ways to boost efficiencies</li><li>
Supports the completion of change management activities across functional partners and monitors adherence to the firm's risk, controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements</li><li>
Raises blockers and other impediments to the Product Delivery Manager to manage dependencies and ensure adequate resources</li><li>
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for complex applications and systems.</li><li>
Enhance and optimize automation frameworks, processes, and test execution efficiency.</li><li>
Analyze requirements and create detailed, reusable test cases, scenarios, and test data.</li><li>
Execute automated and manual tests; analyze outcomes and log/track defects through closure.</li><li>
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA partners to ensure high-quality deliverables.</li><li>
Participate in code reviews for test scripts and provide actionable feedback.</li><li>
Mentor junior testers and promote automation best practices and standards.</li><li>

</div><div>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills</div><div><ul><li>
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area</li><li>
Demonstrated performance in either product management or relevant domain area</li><li>
Experience executing operational management and change readiness activities</li><li>
Experience in product deployment processes</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>
7+ years experience in software testing, with a focus on automation.</li><li>
Proficiency in automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium).</li><li>
Solid programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.</li><li>
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).</li><li>
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Developed knowledge of the product development life cycle</li><li>
