The Case Management Modernization (CMM) Program is an initiative to support the Administrative Office of the (AO) US Courts develop a modern cloud-based solution to support all federal courts across the United States which are grouped into three types, namely Appellate, District, and Bankruptcy. This modernized case management system will eventually replace the current Case Management and Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system.</p><p></p><p>
The Automation Test Engineer will work as part of an agile development team to build and support the modernization of enterprise-class software applications.<br>

  Product Test Engineer
 </strong>
 is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of a product by designing and executing test strategies. They collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to validate product functionality and ensure that it meets business and customer requirements before release.

 Key Responsibilities
 <br/>
 <br/>
 <ul>
  <li>
   Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web or software products.
  </li>
  <li>
   Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using defect tracking tools.
  </li>
  <li>
   Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand product features and testing requirements.
  </li>
  <li>
   Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes before release.
  </li>
  <li>
   Perform backend validation, API testing, and database validation when required.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ensure product quality across different environments (QA, staging, production).
  </li>
  <li>
   Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, and product reviews.
  </li>
  <li>
   Provide detailed test reports and QA updates to stakeholders.
  </li>
  <li>
   Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable.

  Required Skills

  <li>
   Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Bug Life Cycle.
  </li>
  <li>
   Experience with manual testing and test case design.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla).
  </li>
  <li>
   Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger.
  </li>
  <li>
   Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to perform UI and backend validation.
  </li>
  <li>
   Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  Preferred Skills

   Experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).

  </li>

   Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or Java).

 Education &amp; Experience

   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

   1-4 years of experience in software testing or QA engineering.
