Job Description 
EchoPark Automotive is looking to hire an Automotive Buyer to be based in Monrovia, CA. If you&rsquo;re a self-sufficient, independent, analytical person who enjoys working in a consumer-facing environment, this may be your position.
As an Automotive Buyer on the Acquisition Team, you will ensure the timely valuation and processing of used vehicle consumer inventory through street purchases. This position requires working well in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicating. 
What You Will Do :<ul><li>
Obtain used-car inventory through customer and street purchases</li><li>
Set and negotiate pricing</li><li>
Understand reconditioning costs</li><li>
Make financially sound purchasing decisions for the company</li><li>
Convert inquiries at a high rate while maintaining profitability</li><li>
Provide excellent internal and external customer service</li></ul>
What We Are Looking For :<ul><li>
Solid understanding of the retail and wholesale automobile sales processes</li><li>
Excellent analytical and valuation skills, with a strong process orientation</li><li>
Management or prior purchasing experience preferred</li><li>
Excellent communication and customer service skills</li><li>
Web-based search applications and tablet technology experience</li><li>
Clean motor vehicle and criminal background records</li></ul>

Responsibilities - Vehicle Acquisition Specialist:</div><ul><li> 
Find and purchase the best mix of vehicles for our used car inventory.</li><li>
Utilize multiple platforms to prospect for vehicle sellers using Autotrader, Cars.com, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, Social Media and the Service Drive</li><li>
Follow up on internet leads from Kelly Blue Book customers</li><li>
Schedule KBB appointments and coordinate with Used Car Manager</li><li>
Work with logistical partners to arrange vehicle transportation</li><li>
Manage the reconditioning process of used cars</li><li>
Ask service lane customers about acquiring their vehicle</li><li>
Contact internet and phone leads submitted by customers seeking to sell their vehicles.</li><li>
Follow up internet leads from Kelly Blue Book customers</li><li>
Appraise and identify values on vehicles</li><li>
Merchandise inventory on the lot</li><li>
Other duties may be assigned</li></ul> 
Qualifications/Requirements - Vehicle Acquisition Specialist:<ul><li> 
Automotive appraisal and purchasing experience is preferred</li><li>
Proficient computer skills and experience navigating multiple internet and social media sites</li><li>
Good negotiation, communication and customer service skills</li><li>
Self-motivated, professional, ethical and respectful</li><li>
Driver's license and good driving record</li><li>
High school diploma or GED
