Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Aviation Instructor to teach in the Aviation Pilot program for the Fall 26' semester. This position may include instruction in ground school and other aviation-related coursework.</p><p></p><p>
The Adjunct Aviation Instructor will provide instruction in Aviation Pilot program courses. Teaching assignments may include topics such as Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ground school courses, as well as Advanced Aircraft Systems or Aviation Human Factors. The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in aviation instruction and a strong commitment to student learning.</p><p></p><p><b>

We are specifically looking for flight or ground instructors that have industry aviation experience and that have flown professionally in their career, such as retiring airline or corporate pilots or those that can build their flying schedule around our academic calendar. We are looking for people who love to teach and engage with new people and pilots.</p><p>We are a FAA Part 61 and 141 flight school and provide flight training for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine and Instructor Students. We also do flight reviews, tailwheel, complex, and high-performance endorsements. We also do a significant number of scenic flights due to our proximity to the beaches of Maine. Position Summary</div>
<div>
The instructor is responsible for developing and implementing the daily lesson plans and activities for proper management of assigned classes. This person is also responsible for creating a classroom environment that implements best practices, supports industry standards, and engages students in career and technical education. The instructor will also maintain industry and required certification(s) and follow FAA regulations. The instructor will assist the Department Chair, fulfilling duties of a Ground Instructor and Check Airman while meeting all Part 141 Ground School requirements. This position is responsible for fifteen (15) credit hours of instruction for each fall and spring semester, and three (3) credit hours of instruction or internship supervision for the summer semester. Equivalent short-term instruction may be exchanged for credit instruction.</div><br>
