Job Description:</b></h1><p></p>
TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students.

Faculty will also interpret and administer assessments, and offer constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is to integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experiences.
<br>
<br>
Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC.<br>
<br>
The median salary range for this position is $90,298 for fully qualified and candidates meeting all credentialing requirements. Additionally, this position is eligible for semester retention bonuses (potential of $2k per semester) and full state benefits.<p></p><p>

<b>INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY:
</b><br>
Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes utilizing a variety of creative/innovative techniques.<br>
<br>
<b>INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT:</b><br>
Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, equipment security where applicable, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.<br>
<br>
<b>STUDENT RETENTION AND PLACEMENT:
</b><br>
Performs student advisement such that students are provided with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information. Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to ensure students receive current information on tutoring and other programs designed to increase retention.<br>
<br>
<b>PROGRAM RECRUITMENT &amp; PROMOTION:
</b><br>
Participate in related tours and recruitment events. Assist in department/program planning for recruitment.<br>
<br>

<ul><li>Either FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses, or substantial relevant aircraft maintenance experience (military included).</li><li>Be able to develop in-class and online presentations related to aircraft airframes and powerplants</li><li>Be able to develop learning outcomes, hands-on projects, and mastery assessments related to aircraft airframes and powerplants</li><li>2+ years' experience maintaining aerospace vehicles</li><li>Demonstrated competency in airframe theory, and maintenance of structures and a variety of airframe systems such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, oxygen, heating, cooling, etc.</li><li>Demonstrated competency in powerplant theory, and maintenance of APUs, engines, and their systems, such as reciprocating and turbine engines, fire detection and warning, propellers, fuel systems, electrical systems, etc.</li></ul><br>

Preferred Skills, knowledge, and certifications or licenses</b><br>

<ul><li>FAA Inspection Authorization; 121 or 145 inspection experience, or similar.</li><li>5+ years&rsquo; experience maintaining FAA-certificated aircraft.</li><li>1+ years' experience in developing in-class and online presentations related to aircraft airframes and powerplants.</li><li>1+ years' experience developing learning outcomes, hands-on projects, and mastery assessments related to aircraft airframes and powerplants</li></ul><br>

We are specifically looking for flight or ground instructors that have industry aviation experience and that have flown professionally in their career, such as retiring airline or corporate pilots or those that can build their flying schedule around our academic calendar. We are looking for people who love to teach and engage with new people and pilots.</p><p>We are a FAA Part 61 and 141 flight school and provide flight training for Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine and Instructor Students. We also do flight reviews, tailwheel, complex, and high-performance endorsements. We also do a significant number of scenic flights due to our proximity to the beaches of Maine. We have an immaculate and well-maintained fleet of Piper Pilot 100i&rsquo;s, Skyhawk SP&rsquo;s, an ACA Citabria, a Cessna 182RG Skylane, and a Beechcraft Duchess for multi-engine commercial training. We also have a full-motion FMX Redbird Advanced Aviation Training Device.
