Job Description:</h1>
TSTC faculty deliver approved curriculum, content, and assessments in an applied learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitation of activities and discussions that engage a range of learning styles with targeted guidance and mentorship to students.
 
 
Faculty will also interpret and administer assessments, and offer constructive feedback to support student growth and learning outcomes. A key part of the role is to integrate technology effectively to enrich the educational experiences.
 
 
Faculty act as ambassadors for their programs and TSTC. 
 
The median salary range for this position is $90,298 for fully qualified and candidates meeting all credentialing requirements. Additionally, this position is eligible for semester retention bonuses (potential of $2k per semester) and full state benefits.
Faculty will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community. 
 
INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY:
 
Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Develop appropriate course syllabi and instructional plans, and organize daily classes utilizing a variety of creative/innovative techniques. 
 
INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT: 
Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, equipment security where applicable, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation. 
 
STUDENT RETENTION AND PLACEMENT:
 
Performs student advisement such that students are provided with timely, accurate, and comprehensive information. Collaborate with the Office of Student Success to ensure students receive current information on tutoring and other programs designed to increase retention. 
 
PROGRAM RECRUITMENT &amp; PROMOTION:
 
Participate in related tours and recruitment events. Assist in department/program planning for recruitment. 
 
TEAMWORK &amp; SERVICE: 
Demonstrates a willingness to be of service and exhibits pleasant and courteous behavior toward customers (students, parents, employers, and media), organizational coworkers, and other general public contacts. <ul><li>Either FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses, or substantial relevant aircraft maintenance experience (military included).</li><li>Be able to develop in-class and online presentations related to aircraft airframes and powerplants</li><li>Be able to develop learning outcomes, hands-on projects, and mastery assessments related to aircraft airframes and powerplants</li><li>2+ years' experience maintaining aerospace vehicles</li><li>Demonstrated competency in airframe theory, and maintenance of structures and a variety of airframe systems such as electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, oxygen, heating, cooling, etc.</li><li>Demonstrated competency in powerplant theory, and maintenance of APUs, engines, and their systems, such as reciprocating and turbine engines, fire detection and warning, propellers, fuel systems, electrical systems, etc.</li></ul>

Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Aviation Instructor to teach in the Aviation Pilot program for the Fall 26' semester. This position may include instruction in ground school and other aviation-related coursework.
The Adjunct Aviation Instructor will provide instruction in Aviation Pilot program courses. Teaching assignments may include topics such as Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and CFI ground school courses, as well as Advanced Aircraft Systems or Aviation Human Factors. The successful candidate will demonstrate competency in aviation instruction and a strong commitment to student learning.

<ul><li>Education: Minimum Diploma in avionics specialty or recognized aviation training program in respective field/specialty (Minimum 2 years).

Day Shift:

Evening Shift (Two Options):

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Aircraft Mechanic Instructor to prepare students for successful careers in aircraft maintenance by delivering our FAA-aligned curriculum through high quality instruction, demonstrating hands-on techniques and fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Teach our FAA-aligned curriculum in a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and skill development</li>
<li>Support program leadership in the development and revision of high quality, accurate course materials</li>
<li>Record accurate attendance, grades, evaluations, and other required documentation</li>
<li>Notify leadership of any emerging concerns affecting student performance or classroom operations</li>
<li>Complete required training and participate in classroom observations and evaluations</li>
<li>Complete other tasks and projects assigned by Supervisor</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Education
<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li>
<li>Associate degree in a related field preferred</li>
</ul></li><li>Experience
<ul><li>At least three (3) years of hands-on aircraft maintenance experience</li>
</ul></li><li>Skillset
<ul><li>Strong command of aircraft maintenance systems and procedures with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning</li>
<li>Experience with and openness to learning Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)</li>
<li>Flexibility to work outside scheduled hours as needed</li>
</ul></li><li>Licensure
<ul><li>FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&amp;P) Mechanic Certificate</li>
