Aircraft Engine Technician

<div><div>The UH-60 Aircraft Mechanic AM-2 (UH-60 Army Aviation) performs the full range of military tactical aircraft maintenance and maintains repairs and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.</div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div>

<li>With a valid (FAA) A&amp;P certificate (Preferred), Two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience, Two (2) years rotary wing aircraft experience, and Two (2) years on the assigned MDS UH-60 aircraft is Required. (See below for requirements without A&amp;P).</li>

Valid US Passport and US Citizenship is Required to obtain the NAC-I clearance and for facility access.</li>

 The Army Aviation GSE- Ground Support Equipment Mechanic
 
 diagnoses malfunctions and repairs Ground Support Equipment.
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Three (3) years of Aviation GSE experience in the last Six (6) years. Actual and recent Aviation Related experience in the repair, modification, maintenance and overhaul of related equipment being serviced and their associated components (APU's, etc).
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspects and approves completed maintenance actions, solves repair problems by studying drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics, and technical publications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, and document maintenance actions, and analyzes, diagnosis, and repairs GSE using conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, frequency counters, oscilloscopes, circuit card testers, transistor testers, and hand tools.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains external fuel and grounding systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE - Inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air.
 </li>
 <li>
 Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components.
 </li>
 <li>
 Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories, stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications, stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintaining vehicle records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other qualified duties as requested.

 Minimum Requirements:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High School Diploma or Equivalent
 </li>
 <li>
 U.S. Military Technical school or specialized training course is desired.
 </li>
 <li>
 Three (3) years of Aviation GSE experience in the last Six (6) years. Actual and recent Aviation Related experience in the repair, modification, maintenance and overhaul of related equipment being serviced and their associated components (APU's, etc).
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid U.S. Passport required, and be able to travel internationally with minimum 6 Blank pages and Two (2) plus years' validity on passport expiration date at the time of hiring.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to obtain and maintain facility Public Trust NAC-I. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility Public Trust NAC-I at this work location.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to pass CENTCOM Medical requirements for deployment (attend CRC)
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to Obtain a Kuwait Visa.

 Knowledge &amp; Skills

 Knowledge of inspection, servicing, troubleshooting and repair of ground support equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of military publications (including electronic manuals), drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams and schematics is mandatory.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work assignments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Individual must be able to prioritize workloads to maintain schedules on assigned projects and is required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
 </li>
 <li>
 The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.

 Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods throughout the day.

 Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.

 Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.

 Must be able to lift/push/pull minimum of 50 pounds.

 May work in maintenance shop or outside.
 </li>

 Must be able to work in a shop where the environment is drafty, noisy, and dirty.
 </li>

 May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
 </li>
 <li>
 May be exposed to electrical shock hazards or work near moving mechanical parts or vehicles.
 </li>

 May be expected to work in austere environments and all-weather conditions.

<div>Description:

The A&amp;P Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in piston-powered general aviation aircraft and the ability to work independently while also supporting junior mechanics as needed.
Mandatory organizational standards training (up to four weeks) will be conducted at our Addison, TX (ADS) maintenance location.
Requirements:
<ul><li>Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as directed by the Director of Maintenance (DOM).</li><li>
Ensure full compliance with all FAA regulations, company policies, and industrial safety standards.</li><li>
Complete maintenance tasks in accordance with approved manuals, standard practices, and DOM-established procedures.</li><li>
Accurately document all maintenance performed using approved maintenance tracking systems.</li><li>
Troubleshoot aircraft systems and perform routine inspections and repairs.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.</li><li>
Provide guidance and support to junior mechanics when appropriate.</li><li>
Perform all duties with the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Minimum of 5+ years of experience maintaining piston-powered general aviation aircraft.</li><li>
Experience with Piper Archer and Piper Seminole aircraft preferred.</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.</li><li>
Proficiency in computerized maintenance tracking systems; Quantum MX experience preferred.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work independently without direct supervision.</li><li>
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Ability and willingness to collaborate with and mentor junior mechanics.</li><li>
Must provide own tools and maintain reliable transportation.</li></ul>
