 4CEE ontwikkelt software die financi&euml;le processen van organisaties automatiseert en versnelt. Ons platform vormt de backbone van e‑facturatie, e‑procurement en digitale documentuitwisseling.
 
 
 Met het 4CEE Exchange platform stellen we organisaties in staat om documenten zoals facturen, inkooporders en statusberichten volledig geautomatiseerd te verzenden en ontvangen. Inmiddels verwerken we miljoenen facturen per maand en we blijven groeien, zowel in volume als in gebruik.

 Hoe ziet het team eruit?
 
 
 
 Je start in een kernteam van developers en een Product Owner dat verantwoordelijk is voor het Exchange platform.
 
 
 De komende periode gaan we dit team uitbreiden met meerdere engineers. Dat maakt dit een interessant moment om in te stappen: je bouwt niet alleen mee aan het platform, maar hebt ook invloed op hoe we bouwen en schalen als team, met ruimte om door te groeien richting meer verantwoordelijkheid of een leidende rol.
 
 
 Daarnaast werk je intensief samen met collega&rsquo;s uit andere teams, zoals het cloud team en AI specialisten, om het platform stabiel, schaalbaar en toekomstbestendig te maken.
 
 
 
 Wat ga je doen?
 
 
 
 Je werkt aan de core van ons 4CEE Exchange‑platform: het transactienetwerk waarin dagelijks grote volumes aan berichten en transacties worden verwerkt. Je bouwt schaalbare en robuuste services die deze stromen betrouwbaar faciliteren. Tegelijkertijd speel je een actieve rol in het evolueren van de architectuur en het neerzetten van een toekomstbestendige fundering, inclusief het ontwikkelen van nieuwe functionaliteit op basis van marktbehoeften en wet- en regelgeving. About This Role</h3>
We're hiring a mid-level back-end engineer who likes owning real problems end-to-end, from API design and data modeling through to service implementation, production reliability, and launch. You already use AI as part of how you think, build, test, and ship.
You'll write code that moves money in production, build and modernize the backend services the platform runs on, and ship new capability as Xe rebuilds its platform layer. You'll work in a small team with direct access to product, compliance, and operations, own your services in production, and partner with architects and team leads on bigger design decisions.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
What You'll Do</h3><ul><li>
Build backend services that move money and manage multi-currency balances across a range of domains, including onboarding, KYC and KYB, payment initiation, FX, settlement, and other supporting services.</li><li>
Partner with product, compliance, and operations from problem framing through launch.</li><li>
Build and operate the partner integrations and settlement infrastructure your services depend on.</li><li>
Own your services in production, including reliability, observability, on-call, and incident response.</li><li>
Use agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) daily across the SDLC, and help take parts of the platform from legacy services into the modern stack alongside architects and team leads in your domain.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
What We're Looking For</h3>
Must-have<ul><li>
3 to 6 years building production backend services, end-to-end.</li><li>
Strong backend proficiency in C# / .NET preferred; other OOP languages welcome (Java, Kotlin, Go, or equivalent).</li><li>
SQL and relational database fundamentals.</li><li>
Writing and maintaining tests.</li><li>
Daily use of agentic coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent) across the SDLC.</li><li>
Production experience with AWS, including hands-on deployment and native services such as SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, and Lambda.</li><li>
Strong system design fundamentals, including distributed systems and async or event-driven patterns.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication.</li></ul>
Nice-to-have<ul><li>
Experience in payments, FX, or cross-border money movement.</li><li>
Service-oriented or microservices architecture experience.</li><li>
Experience with ledgers, double-entry accounting, or other financial-data systems.</li><li>
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.</li><li>
Experience with caching solutions like Memcached or Redis.</li><li>
Experience using project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.</li><li>
Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or Bruno.</li><li>
Writing automated tests alongside development with AI tools (Claude Code or equivalent).</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
