 On Lumafield&rsquo;s Backend team, you work on the core of our cloud platform from REST APIs through to massively parallelized data processing pipelines operating on our X-Ray and CT image data. We leverage Python in order to move quickly but ensure that we&rsquo;re getting the most out of the language through usage of powerful frameworks and parallelism concepts. Our backend team also owns their code all the way through deployment; you&rsquo;ll work to build your code into Docker containers and deploy them to our different environments including cloud Kubernetes clusters and on-premises servers.

 Your mission
 
 
 
 We are looking for a Tech Lead, Backend to lead the technical execution, micro-architecture and engineering excellence of backend platform services powering the core of the 1inch DeFi platform.
 
 
 This is a hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced backend engineer who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to guide a team in delivering high-quality software. You will own the technical direction of your team&rsquo;s services, ensuring they are scalable, resilient, secure and performant while mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards.
 
 
 You will work on distributed backend systems, blockchain integrations, blockchain indexing services and mission-critical platform capabilities operating under demanding performance and correctness requirements.
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Own the technical design and micro-architecture of backend services within your team&rsquo;s domain
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead technical planning, implementation decisions and architecture reviews
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish engineering standards, coding practices and backend architecture patterns
 </li>
 <li>
 Balance feature delivery with long-term maintainability, reliability and technical debt reduction
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as the primary technical quality gate for production changes. Spend approximately 50-80% of your time writing production code in Go and TypeScript
 </li>
 <li>
 Design, build and operate scalable, resilient and high-performance backend services across their full lifecycle
 </li>
 <li>
 Build backend systems that integrate with smart contracts, blockchain infrastructure and Web3 services
 </li>
 <li>
 Design and operate blockchain indexing and data processing systems supporting routing, pricing, execution, portfolio and analytics capabilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead AI-first engineering practices while mentoring engineers and partnering with Product, Blockchain, Infrastructure, Security and DevOps teams
 
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Who You Are
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 You have 6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities
 </li>
 <li>
 You have expert-level experience building backend systems with Go and strong professional experience with TypeScript
 </li>
 <li>
 You have deep expertise designing and operating distributed systems, event-driven architectures and cloud-native platforms
 </li>
 <li>
 You have strong experience building secure, scalable and highly available production systems
 </li>
 <li>
 You have a strong understanding of blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, blockchain indexing and Web3 backend development
 </li>
 <li>
 You have extensive practical experience using Cursor AI or comparable AI-native engineering environments
 </li>
 <li>
 You have proven experience applying AI-assisted engineering across architecture, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation and code review
 </li>
 <li>
 You have experience designing or scaling agentic software delivery workflows and helping engineering teams adopt AI effectively
 </li>
 <li>
 You understand how AI can accelerate software delivery without compromising engineering quality, security or maintainability
 </li>
 <li>
 You have excellent system design, communication and technical leadership skills
