Job Summary: 
Responsible for receiving, loading, unloading, and distributing checked baggage. Also responsible for record keeping associated with baggage.

Job Duties: 
<ul>
<li>Set up conveyances to sort and distribute incoming bags.</li>
<li>Scan and ensure correct loading of each bag.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with TSA, DOT, FAA, OSHA safety rules, regulations, and applicable laws.</li>
<li>Take care of the safety scanner and other equipment.</li>
<li>Forward and receive bags to/from TSA.</li>
<li>Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.</li>
<li>Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience and, capabilities expected for this position.</li>
<li>Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards</li>
<li>Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy. </li>

GAT Airline Ground Support

The vendor behind the counter positions encompasses transporting checked baggage to specified areas of the airport, lifting checked baggage on and off carts, containers, and conveyances. Transport checked baggage from designated x-ray/screening devices or hand search areas to the baggage conveyor belts. Load baggage as needed into tubs on a baggage conveyor belt. Transport oversize baggage and/or live animals from the baggage check-in area to the baggage room. Ensure and maintain a supply of baggage tubs for the conveyor belts at all times. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet arrival and departure goals. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk continuously for 8 - 10 hours without sitting for long periods of time, use hands; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; converse and hear. Must be able to work in tight places. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 lbs. and push luggage carts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The starting rate for this role is $19.64. 
This is also a bonus eligible position (i.e. profit sharing).
