Job Summary:
Ensures baked goods are prepared and displayed in accordance with Company standards. Works closely with bakery personnel to promote department sales and customer service to support profitability goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Works in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.</li><li>
Supports upper management with the review of historical data regarding sales, ads and promotions. Co-manages inventory using item management processes to ensure satisfactory in-stock levels. May review profit and loss, sales, shrink, and labor data with department manager.</li><li>
Indirectly responsible for maintaining and improving sales performance, financial results, public relations, product quality, and work standards.</li><li>
Enforces quality control and food safety standards and ensures dated products are stocked and rotated properly. Makes fine judgements about aroma, flavor, taste, texture, and color to inspect baked goods for quality.</li><li>
Helps with all aspects of bakery production including preparing, packaging, labeling, catering, and occasional delivery of baked goods.</li><li>
Uses creativity to decorate baked goods, promote themes, and merchandise product through appealing displays.</li><li>
Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork.</li><li>

Our Bakery Clerk (BOH) are responsible for making pizza dough, packing out bakery items, traying and baking croissants, muffins, and cookies. 


Responsibilities
<ul><li>
Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment</li><li>
Prepare dough, pack bakery items, prepare bakery cookies, cakes, pastry, etc. for oven baking. Remove all baked good from oven onto cooling racks to prepare them for next steps (decorating, piping, boxing, etc)</li><li>
Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with Uncle Giuseppe's standards</li><li>
 Maintain and properly use all department equipment as require</li><li>
Rotate products to ensure freshness of our gourmet pastry and bakery products</li><li>
Other duties and functions as assigned</li></ul>
