This role involves demonstrating advanced baking techniques, and overseeing the daily operations of the training kitchen to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Teaching students the fundamentals of baking, including dough preparation, fermentation, pastry arts, cake decoration, and artisan bread making.</li><li>Designing and updating lesson plans, recipes, and training modules to reflect current industry standards and seasonal trends.</li><li>Evaluating student performance through practical exams, taste tests, and theoretical assessments, providing constructive feedback for improvement.</li><li>Managing the end-to-end production of baked goods for the institution.</li><li>Overseeing the procurement of high-quality ingredients, manage stock levels, and minimize waste through efficient portion control.</li><li>Ensuring all specialized equipment (deck ovens, proofers, planetary mixers) is operated correctly and maintained regularly.</li><li>Maintaining food safety standards rigorously within the kitchen.</li><li>Supervising deep-cleaning schedules and ensure all students/staff adhere to personal hygiene and safety protocols.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Proven experience as a baking chef/instructor.</li><li>Relevant diploma or certification (preferred).</li><li>Minimum qualification shall be intermediate.</li><li>Strong knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards.</li><li>Ability to manage kitchen operations and work under pressure.</li><li>Good organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Creative approach to menu planning and presentation.</li><li>Strong communication skills.</li></ul>Work Location: In person
