Responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to our banking customers. The Client Services Representative must go beyond handling customer transactions in a timely and professional manner, to engage customers and optimize ways to maximize their banking experience. Cross-sells bank products and processes customer transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, remittances, and opening of new accounts. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></h4><ul><li>
Processes transactions timely and accurately including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, stop payments, blocks, wire transfers, remittances and any other transactions needed by customers.</li><li>
Develops strong knowledge of bank products and services; recommends bank services that align with customer needs and cross sells effectively.</li><li>
Follows bank policies and procedures, operates cash drawer in accordance with bank cash limits, balances cash drawer independently and complies with the Bank&rsquo;s over/short policy.</li><li>
Opens and closes customer accounts, including but not limited to checking, savings, and certificates of deposits.</li><li>
Achieves highlevel professional standards with work processes and outcomes. Processes transactions within authorized limits, which includes checkcashing limits and obtains managerial approval on all required transactions; completes servicing transactions accurately and efficiently, which may include maintaining a cash drawer, cash handling and balancing. Monitors and checks work for precision, clarity, and completeness; produces quality results.</li><li>
Contributes to the fulfillment of department and bank objectives and goals. Including but not limited to making phone calls to cross sell bank products, attending sales blitz events, and participating in sales programs to generate new customers.</li><li>
Orders, receives, verifies and distributes cash.</li><li>
Admits customers to safe deposit boxes.</li><li>
Leverages tools and resources to ensure accurate and consistent information of bank products and services and connects those to customer needs.</li><li>
Researches customer inquiries and ensures satisfactory resolution. Resolves technical and tactical issues related to account opening process, teller and customer service transactions.</li><li>
Where appropriate, actively takes advantage of all sales opportunities, crossselling bank products and services to new and existing customers, ensuring recommended products meet needs of customer. Makes referrals to other business units for nonbanking products.</li><li>
Maintains proper security controls regarding currency and negotiable instruments. Reviews reports in order to adequately identify and report all cash transactions and monetary purchases as required by the bank&rsquo;s BSA/AML reporting and recordkeeping procedures.</li><li>
Supports Bank compliance efforts by completing compliance and other technical training workshops as assigned. Ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations including but not limited to: BSA and OFAC requirements, Regulation E, Regulation GG, and ACH Rules.</li><li>
Performs duties to ensure proper identification and information gathering of all parties subject to SBIC&rsquo;s Customer Information Program (CIP) and Customer Due Diligence Programs.</li><li>
Reviews reports to detect Suspicious Activity and files required reports to the BSA Officer or designee as found.</li><li>
Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and complies with all United States Federal and State Regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act, AntiMoney Laundering Act, Elder Abuse Law, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC laws and their implementing regulations. Complies with Wage and Hour regulations, including but not limited to taking meal and rest periods timely, recording time accurately, and reviewing/approving timecard.</li><li>
Detects Suspicious Activity and files required reports to the BSA Officer or designee as found.</li><li>

Summary: New Accounts/CSR II:</b></p><p>
The position is required to be knowledgeable and skilled in opening new consumer accounts. Responsible for processing all new account transactions; assisting clients in their selection of various accounts and financial services; actively cross selling the Bank&rsquo;s products and services; maintaining and closing of all account types; performing branch clerical duties; promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good client relations and referring clients to appropriate staff and partners for new services. Qualifications: Senior New Accounts/CSR III:</b></p><ul><li>
A minimum of three years banking teller experience is required</li><li>
Advanced experience with opening consumer accounts and complex business accounts is required</li><li>
Prior supervisory experience is preferred</li><li>
Minimum of three years strong customer relations skills and the ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative and positive manner</li><li>
Possesses strong knowledge of basic banking regulations such as BSA and Information Security</li><li>
Must possess excellent judgment and the ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information</li><li>
Must be proficient in using Word, Excel, and Outlook applications and banking programs</li></ul><p><b>

A minimum of 2 years banking teller experience is required</li><li>

Generates new business to assist in meeting bank profitability and branch goals</li><li>
Effectively partners with other business lines within the Bank to identify sales opportunities and provide an outstanding customer experience</li><li>
In conjunction with the Manager, makes monthly business development calls as assigned</li><li>
Open and support consumer and business checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust &amp; Estate Accounts</li><li>
Support business clients with essential Treasury Services, i.e., RDC (Check Scanner), Armored, and Courier Service</li><li>
Maintains thorough knowledge of bank products and services</li><li>
Maintains knowledge and stays abreast of applicable New Account laws, procedures, proper account titling, and required documentation</li><li>
Ensures all documentation is approved and uploaded in the core system</li><li>
Processes teller transactions as needed and maintains an excellent balancing record</li><li>
Responds to client inquiries and requests regarding account</li><li>
Adheres to Banking regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act</li><li>
As assigned may gather data and process various reports (e.g., currency transactions, returned items, overdrafts, callbacks, etc.)</li><li>
Provide expedient and courteous service to all clients both in person and on the phone</li><li>
Consistently models exemplary customer service</li><li>
Actively listens to customers and maintains a friendly, positive, professional attitude. Resolves difficult situations with creativity, tact, and diplomacy</li><li>
Proactively identify and retain &quot;at-risk&quot; customers</li><li>
Look for ways to pleasantly surprise our customers, i.e., doing something above and beyond their expectations that makes them feel special</li><li>
Minimum of 10 hours CRA volunteer hours per year. Volunteer hours are typically scheduled within business hours. This is compensable time and mileage is reimbursed</li><li>

Approves large transactions for teller staff up to assigned limit</li><li>
Provides supervisor override for transactions requiring supervisor review</li><li>
Supports Branch Manager or his/her back up with various assigned duties</li><li>
Handles difficult client situations in the absence of the Branch Manager or his/her backup</li></ul><p><b>
Physical/Mental Demands &amp; Work Environment:</b></p><p>
The incumbent in the course of performing this position frequently spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, operating basic business equipment, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, client contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks, and constant interruptions. The incumbent for this position will occasionally lift up to 15 pounds, pull, squat, kneel and reach. The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will. The work environment is typically quiet to a moderate noise level.</p><p>
