As a Behavior Specialist, you will guide and assist with our school-wide classroom implementation of the positive behavior support program, increasing positive student behaviors. This position always focuses first on proactive strategies when working with challenging behaviors and is immediately available to respond to crisis situations with the ability to de-escalate students using CPI strategies, behavioral contracts and interventions documented in student&rsquo;s behavioral intervention plan, if applicable.

‖ Responsibilities Include:

‖ Qualifications Required:
<ul>
<li>Associate's degree or higher in a closely related field of study.</li>
<li>Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a paraprofessional, paraeducator, educational aide, teaching assistant or related credential.</li>
<li>Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a registered behavior technician (RBT) credential highly preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.</li>
<li>Prior experience providing behavioral instruction, guidance and/or support to children; preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting.</li>
<li>Highly skilled in working with children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional behavioral disorders and/or other related disabilities.</li>
<li>Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including functional behavior assessment (FBA), positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and behavior intervention plans (BIP's) preferred.</li>

The Education Behavior Specialist provides direct person-centered behavioral services in the Children&rsquo;s Education Program. The Education Behavior Specialist works under the direction of the supervising Behavior Analyst (BA) and alongside Education Administration to conduct observations, assist in writing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs, provide training on behavior intervention plans/skill acquisition plans, oversee data collection on BIPs and skill acquisition programs, promote PBIS and Tier 1 supports and provide direct intervention as necessary. The Behavior Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions within Rogers Behavioral Health treatment programs. The Behavior Specialist is trained to assess the function of behavior, develop &amp; implement individualized plans to address maladaptive behaviors, provide training and education to patients and support persons, collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, and monitor progress of behavior interventions making necessary changes and modifications to produce the best outcomes for patients. Behavior Specialists train and work with an assigned clinical leader to design and implement CBT-specific treatment plans to address presenting symptoms.<h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
Job Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</h1><ul><li>
Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services including groups, to patients, according to clinical standards of care and under the supervision of the Clinical leader to address patients&rsquo; specific needs and goals.</li><li>
Participate in supervision sessions with the Clinical leader, communicate regularly on specific patient progress, and adjustments needed to care plan based on observations and response to interventions delivered.</li><li>
Regularly monitor the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments. This involves administering outcome measures, reviewing the results, and modifying interventions as needed in consultation with Clinical leader. Behavior specialists will ensure that interventions are producing the desired outcomes.</li><li>
Document mental health services according to applicable regulations and payer expectations. Assure acute and timely documentation of therapeutic treatment plans, outcome assessments, psychosocial information, and other patient care data is completed within the medical record. Additional documentation may be completed under close supervision of the Clinical leader within SUD programs.</li><li>
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in development of the treatment plan.</li><li>
Communicate treatment interventions and support needs for assigned caseload to applicable interdisciplinary team members and to support systems as needed.</li><li>
Offer training support to other direct care team members less familiar with cognitive behavioral treatment interventions (MHT, nurses, clinic assistants, etc.).</li><li>
Providing parent or support person training and education on how to support CBT interventions and behavioral treatment plans effectively. This may involve teaching positive reinforcement techniques, modeling appropriate behaviors, and providing strategies for managing challenging situations.</li><li>
Provide for patient safety and the safety of the facility.</li><li>
Support changes in staffing/scheduling assignment when program and patient care needs require.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned. These may include but are not limited to: Maintaining a current knowledge base of department processes, protocols, and procedures, pursuing self-directed learning, and continuing education opportunities, and participating on committees, task forces, and work groups as determined by management.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

 Telehealth/Virtual Experience Preferred
 </li>

 Flexible availability (especially Mon&ndash;Fri afternoons/evenings + Saturdays)
 </li>
 <li>
 Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID &ndash; CA mandated)
 </li>

 Reliable transportation

<div><div><div>Eliot is seeking a strong, experienced Forensic Behavioral Health Specialist to join our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. PACT is an evidence-based model that provides comprehensive treatment, rehabilitation, and support to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This PACT team is designed to work with a specialized population with a history of criminal engagement.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the unique needs and history/background of the population, clinical interventions and have the ability to develop and maintain clear and therapeutic boundaries. A proven experience in community-based work with adults with severe and persistent mental illness is a must.</div></div><div>

Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Provide outreach support services to forensic PACT clients and medication supports as needed to clients living independently in the community.</li>
<li>Provide side by side interventions to consumers that focus on problem solving, skills training, modeling behavior, optimism and encouragement. Assist the team and consumers in providing on-going assessment of symptoms and responses to staff interventions.</li>
<li>Promote opportunities to participate in pro-social activities and interpersonal skill development.</li>
<li>Provide assistance to consumers related to transportation to court, work sites, court mandated treatment, probation/parole meetings, daily activities, appointments or as needed/directed by supervisor.</li></ul></div>
