 responsible for direct service to clients in the clinical outpatient setting of a Psychiatric Services Clinic or Integrated Case Management Network180&rsquo;s Psychiatric Services is an urgent/emergent clinic that serves both adults and children with mental illness and substance use disorder needs. Integrated Case Management is a Patient-Centered Behavioral Health Home that is based on the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines for the Patient-Centered Medical Home. &nbsp;This multidisciplinary team-based model includes: a psychiatrist, registered nurse, medical assistant, case managers, outpatient therapists and peer support. &nbsp;The team serves consumers with mental illness and substance use disorder needs with an emphasis on evidence-based therapeutic treatments.

The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital, hands-on role in supporting both the clinical and operational functions of monarc, LLC&mdash;an inclusive outpatient mental health practice serving children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), autism, other neurodiverse conditions, and the general public.
In addition to supporting providers with daily clinical workflows, the Medical Assistant is directly involved in clinical care activities including obtaining and documenting vital signs, performing point of care and point of service laboratory collections, preparing medications, administering injections as directed, and supporting medication management. <li>Observe urine samples for urine drug screens, test onsite and package for laboratory for confirmation testing.</li>

<li>Makes appointments for patients to see physician, provide lab work and referrals for additional follow up care.</li>
<li>Maintain and keep updated all medical records and documentation pertaining to the patients.</li>
<li>Assist with Purchasing and ordering of medical supplies</li>
<li>Assists in education with pregnant patients about prenatal care and assists primary counselor in coordinating outside services as needed.</li>

Job Summary
In collaboration with the healthcare team, assists physicians/providers in the delivery of patient care working within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant.
Details of the position:
<ul><li>Prepares patients for examination and treatment or anesthesia interview as applicable. Takes and records patient history and vital signs as applicable.</li><li>
Gives injections, applies splints and dressings, and facilitates simple wound management under provider orders.</li><li>
Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment, including sterilization.</li><li>
May transport specimens</li><li>
May assist in scheduling patients for test, initial and follow up and appointments.</li><li>
May maintain patient files, records, and other information including entry of data into electronic medical record</li><li>
