Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>
Must have interstate compact license.</b></li><li>
The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders.</li><li>
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed</li><li>
The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions.</li><li>
Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc.</li><li>
The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care.</li><li>
Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.</li><li>
The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care.</li><li>
Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management</li><li>
Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.</li></ul><p>

The Assistant to Psychiatrist will provide case management for patients with one or more chronic behavioral health concerns. The Assistant to Psychiatrist uses advanced processes in patient assessment, data analysis, and assists in implementation of methods to improve the overall quality and efficiency of patient care for the clinic. Will assist with direct and indirect patient care as needed.</p><p>Our office hours are:</p><ul><li>Monday-Thursday: 7 AM - 8 PM</li><li>Friday: 8 AM - 1 PM</li><li>Saturday: 7 AM - 5 PM</li></ul><p>We have multiple shifts available during these hours. Responsible for performing and documenting in EHR.</li><li>Accountable for reviewing patient data and summary of care document in EHR.</li><li>Proactively identifies high-risk patients and intervenes with the guidance of the Practice provider to improve patients' outcomes.</li><li>Will consult with patient's provider immediately if patients condition merits immediate intervention.</li><li>Works with the Practice clinic staff to develop, implement, and carry out monitoring in Behavioral Health management for patients with such problems as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, substance abuse, and other chronic mental health conditions.</li><li>Responding to phone calls and appropriately reviewing with the Practice provider.</li><li>Perform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by the physician.</li></ul><p><b>The Location:</b></p><p>Affiliated Medical Group has locations in Jacksonville and Asheville, NC, and Key West, FL.
