<b>POSITION SUMMARY</b><br>
We are seeking Behavioral Health Therapists for our clinic locations in Altgeld Gardens, Hegewisch, and Hammond. The Behavioral Health Therapist is a member of the interdisciplinary team and contributes to the comprehensive health care services offered by TCA Health. The Behavioral Health Therapist provides services to individuals, families, and groups to assist with improvement of social functioning and maximizing strengths. The Therapist interacts and interfaces with the community in diverse roles of advocacy and overall planning for service utilization. This position may be a regular full-time or a regular part-time employee. This position will be on-site.<br>

<b>Behavioral Health Therapist Responsibilities</b>
<ul><li>Perform bio-psychosocial assessments and diagnosis of behavioral health clients.</li>
<li>Provide effective treatment planning to assist clients in successfully achieving goals.</li>
<li>Evaluate crisis situations and apply appropriate interventions.</li>
<li>Assist in the detection of &ldquo;at risk&rdquo; patients and the development of plans to prevent further psychological or physical deterioration.</li>
<li>Initiate treatment interventions in individual, family, and/or group counseling settings.</li>
<li>Effectively and clearly document client interactions and referrals in a timely manner as required.</li>
<li>Completes all necessary statistical reports and attend to accuracy.</li>
<li>Regularly participate in Behavioral Health Department, TCA Health Staff, and other meetings as assigned.</li>

The position supports behavioral health stabilization, recovery, and service integration across community systems.</p>

Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities
</b></p><div><ul><li>Delivers individual, couples, and family therapy, and facilitates primary treatment and continuing care groups for clients with mental health and/or substance use needs.</li></ul>

Maintains regular contact with insurance providers to report patient treatment progress and obtain required certifications for continued stays. Prepares and conducts group or individual therapy to address specific social mental health issues to promote the development of effective life skills to support a healthy lifestyle.</li><li>
Provides case management services to assist patients with managing mental health and/or substance use disorders, developing individualized recovery plans, and linking to supports to help them maintain these life changes.</li><li>
Develops and implements complex treatment and discharge plans for patients with mental health and/or substance use issues; and conducts intensive or comprehensive interventions (family counseling/support, etc.).</li><li>

Position Summary:</b></p><p>
The Licensed Therapist provides clinical services within a residential setting to adults with serious and persistent mental illness and potentially co-occurring substance use disorders. This position is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 245I and DHS licensing standards.</p><p>
The Therapist actively participates in milieu engagement and supports residents in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, relapse prevention strategies, and independent living skills.</p><p><b>
