Basic Functions: This is a non-exempt position. The Benefits Coordinator/Tribal Assister serves as a vital link between the community and healthcare resources, assisting American Indian and Alaska Native patients in navigating and enrolling in public and private insurance programs. This position works closely with the Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) program, Medicaid, Medicare, the Health Insurance Marketplace, and other benefit resources to ensure that patients maintain active coverage and understand their rights and options. The position also helps patients access and retain coverage, identify eligibility for benefits, and complete applications as needed. This role requires knowledge of health care programs, benefit coordination, and culturally competent communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
<ul><li>Requires Associate&rsquo;s degree in health administration, business, or a related field preferred.</li><li>
Requires a minimum of two (2) years&rsquo; experience in medical billing, claims processing, or PRC services.</li><li>

The HR Coordinator &ndash; Payroll and Benefits is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources function, with a primary focus on payroll processing, benefits coordination, and maintaining accurate employee data within the HRIS system. This position ensures the timely and accurate execution of payroll and benefits transactions, while serving as a key operational partner to staff, faculty, and student workers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Manages employee benefits enrollments in the Paycom HRIS system due to qualifying events, employee terminations, including COBRA notices, and employee PTO reconciliations</li><li>
