Position Description<b>:</b></p><p></p><p>
The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for performing a wide variety of benefit support functions, including but not limited to benefit policy and procedure interpretation, benefit and retirement administration, regulatory compliance, wellness, training and customer service for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities.</p><p></p><p>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities<b>:</b></p><ul><li>
Daily, effectively communicates via phone, mail, and email to Team Member inquiries and requests regarding their benefits. Forms of Team Member communication include phone calls, emails and tickets submitted through our ticketing system.</li><li>
Partners with Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Third-Party administrators in the weekly process of Team Members eligibility. Tracks notices to confirm that benefit offers are made to eligible Team Members.</li><li>
Assists with Team Member retro-payment adjustments for benefits after the effective date of enrollment, changes, terminations, etc. and partners with Payroll for processing.</li><li>
Responsible for reconciling bills from carriers as well as internal and external system audits, as needed.</li><li>
Assists with the reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations, including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).</li><li>
Tracks and processes medical support orders, including any follow-up that may be needed.</li><li>
Reviews audit reports generated by various sources and resolves benefit data discrepancies.</li><li>
Mediates between benefit providers and Team Members, such as assisting in handling Team Member&rsquo;s routine benefit-related questions.</li><li>
Assists with the wellness program, including impactful events and challenges for all GCNA Team Members that promote well-being. This may require travel to other locations.</li><li>
Coordinates with vendor on the Team Member notification of COBRA eligibility to household members and Team Members that are on a leave of absence; includes notification to household members of eligibility for COBRA, etc. when benefits are discontinued.</li><li>
Ensures the tickets in Jira for 401k and benefit related questions are reviewed on a regular basis, providing information to Team Members inquiring about GCNA&rsquo;s 401k and benefit plans.</li><li>
As needed, collaborates with vendors, brokers, and insurance carriers regarding escalated customer issues, billing reconciliations, and other concerns as they arise.</li><li>
Builds relationships with Team Members and Leaders and acts as a point of contact for our Insurance Carriers.</li><li>
Responsible for assisting in the planning and organizing of the annual open enrollment process for all GCNA Team Members. Includes scheduling and organizing facilities, preparing documents, coordination with insurance company representatives and other vendors, coordinating and scheduling staffing for all open enrollment activities, etc. Coordinates dissemination of information with providers.</li><li>
Assists in the preparation and distribution of written communications to inform Team Members of benefit offerings. Also assists in the development of tools that aid Team Members in benefits selection.</li><li>
To ensure efficiency, documents any new or updated processes, as needed.</li><li>
Administers the Trip Reduction Program, including annual reporting, surveys, monthly drawings, and audits.</li><li>
Maintains current knowledge of State and Federal legislation regarding Team Member benefits or anything that may impact Team Member benefits including Health Care Reform.</li><li>

The Payroll Benefits Coordinator performs the payroll administration functions for a facility.</div>

<div><b>Qualifications:</b></div>
<div><b>Education:</b></div>
<div><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent, college level courses in accounting or business preferred.</li>
</ul></div><div><b>Experience:</b></div>
<div><ul><li>Two years&rsquo; experience in payroll or human resources.</li>
</ul></div><div><b>Job Functions:</b></div>
<div><ul><li>Process payroll in adherence with federal/state/facility/regional pay guidelines.</li>
<li>Ensures that pay practices are documented, pay rates and programs are monitored and that merit increases are timely.</li>
<li>Coordinates PIB (pay-in-lieu of benefits) process, including verifying that employees do not elect PIB when enrolled in any other benefit plans (excluding the retirement savings plans).</li>
<li>Posts state and federal posters required by law in appropriate locations.</li>
<li>Ensures that the HRIS contains correct employee information including; social security number, job title and FLSA status.</li>
<li>Reviews employee time and attendance reports for accuracy and completeness, and makes corrections as necessary.</li>
<li>Serves as a back up to the SDC to ensure WOTC compliance and backup to Human Resources Coordinator as needed.</li>
<li>Performs other tasks as assigned.</li>
</ul></div><div><b>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
</b></div><ul><li><div>Knowledge of computerized payroll and bookkeeping systems.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.</div>
</li><li><div>Skilled in the use of computers and the Microsoft Office suite of applications.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to be accurate, concise, and detail oriented.</div>
</li><li><div>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</div>
</li>
