The BI (Business Intelligence) Engineer IV&rsquo;s purpose at Gemini is to organize and design: comprehensive data collection, organization, analysis, and support: sculpting enterprise-quality data warehouse solutions that support fast visualization providing actionable insights that support strategic business decisions. This role involves managing ETL, architecting, designing and implementing data warehouse solutions (including OLAP), complex dashboards and reports, and performing detailed statistical analyses using professional-grade indicators. As a member of the Engineering team, the BI Engineer IV is an experienced, detail-oriented, and self-motivated architect both in terms of data warehouse structure and data presentation.The BI (Business Intelligence) Engineer IV at Gemini is responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-quality data warehouse solutions. This critical role involves architecting and managing the complete data lifecycle&mdash;from comprehensive data collection and organization to detailed analysis. The ultimate goal is to sculpt solutions, including OLAP, that provide fast visualization and actionable insights, supporting strategic business decisions.</p><p>
As an experienced, self-motivated, and detail-oriented member of the Engineering team, the BI Engineer IV will manage ETL processes, design complex dashboards and reports, and perform detailed statistical analyses using professional-grade indicators. Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
In collaboration with the BI team, design and engage engineering best practices (code review processes, git workflows, CI/CD)</li><li>
Collaborate with the BI team to follow and keep up to date &ldquo;Definition of Done&rdquo; agreements</li><li>
Collaborating with the BI team to architect and design modern, scalable warehouse architecture (Snowflake: dimensional models for reporting)</li><li>
Evaluating and recommending data transformation methodologies, frameworks and tools</li><li>
Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on Build vs. Buy decisions for tools and infrastructure</li><li>
Collaborate with the BI Team to architect and design processes and standards for table design include primary and foreign keys, and audit columns</li><li>
Optimize warehouse performance via partitioning, clustering, query design and other processes to balance fast execution versus spend</li><li>
Collaborate with the BI Team to build repeatable transformation patterns and establish the standard use of frameworks</li><li>
Collaborate with the BI Team to create automated data quality monitoring, including: quarantine tables, alerts, and error handling</li><li>
Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations that drive business decisions</li><li>
Architect and design operational dashboards that track pipeline health: data freshness, volume anomalies, schema drift, changes in error rates, etc.</li><li>
Design and develop data warehouse structures to support Tableau explorer-users finding the linked data they need</li><li>
Establish version control practices for analytics code and database objects</li><li>
Perform complex statistical analyses and hypothesis testing to support strategic initiatives</li><li>
Design and implement data processes and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy</li><li>
Confidently provide detailed insights and recommendations based on data analysis to influence business strategies</li><li>
Provide support on data use and analysis to BI Developers, including SQL, structuring views, creating stored procedures and database analysis tasks</li><li>
Ensure compliance with data integrity, security, and company policies in all analytical tasks</li><li>
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis and visualization</li><li>
Initiate, manage, and deliver multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while coordinating the BI Team closely</li><li>
Continuously enhance technical skills and knowledge in data analysis and visualization</li><li>

Responsibilities<br>
 Reporting &amp; Analytics Development<br>
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.<br>
Translate business requirements into meaningful dashboards, paginated reports, and analytical models.<br>
 Data Modeling &amp; Performance Optimization<br>
Build and optimize semantic models, datasets, and reporting schemas.<br>
Tune SQL queries, DAX expressions, and report performance for large-scale datasets.<br>
 Advanced Visualization &amp; Insights<br>
Develop complex Power BI dashboards using Power BI Desktop and Power Query.<br>
Author advanced DAX calculations and implement best practices for reusable analytics.<br>
Automate dataset refreshes and enable near real-time reporting where required.<br>
 Integration &amp; Data Sources<br>
Integrate reports with multiple data sources including SQL Server, Azure SQL, Dataverse, and other enterprise systems.<br>
Design secure data access and row-level security (RLS) models.<br>
 CI/CD &amp; Deployment Automation<br>
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for report deployments and Power BI workspaces using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or TeamCity.<br>
Support version control and release management for SSRS and Power BI assets.<br>
 Monitoring, Support &amp; Reliability<br>
Monitor report usage, failures, and refresh issues.<br>
Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and ensure SLA adherence.<br>
Define standards for report governance, documentation, and lifecycle management.<br>
 Process &amp; Standards Definition<br>
Define reporting development standards, best practices, and ALM processes.<br>
Collaborate with architecture and governance teams to ensure compliance and scalability.</div><div>
Qualifications we seek in you!<br>
Minimum Qualifications / Skills<br>
 Relevant years of experience in enterprise reporting and BI engineering.<br>
 Strong hands-on experience with SSRS, Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX.<br>
 Solid SQL expertise with experience in performance tuning and data modeling.<br>
 Experience deploying and managing reporting solutions using DevOps pipelines.<br>
 Understanding of security concepts including data access, RLS, and auditing.<br>
 Bonus Skills: Experience integrating Power BI with Power Platform or SharePoint.<br>
 Bonus Skills: Exposure to Azure analytics services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).<br>
 Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM) or environment automation.<br>
 Bonus Skills: Awareness of AI-enabled analytics or Copilot-assisted reporting.<br>
