This role is primarily performed in an office setting and requires the ability to communicate effectively in person and by telephone, frequently use standard office equipment such as computers and telephones, and perform tasks that involve sitting, walking, and using hands and arms. Talking, listening, and visual focus for close-range work are important, and occasional light lifting may be required. The work environment is climate-controlled with generally moderate noise, though occasional louder conditions may occur. This position will require travel to other work-related location in Miami, off-site meetings, training sessions, and recruitment events.

HR Generalist I

<div><ul><li>Handle Pre-employment and Onboarding process for new hires
</li><li>Conduct New Hire Orientation and complete I-9 Forms for employees in the Greater Houston Area
</li><li>Create, organize and maintain employee files in corresponding Area of Responsibility
</li><li>Complete data integrity audits in Hub, NOV Time, Law Logix, etc. and make requests/corrections as needed
</li><li>Action all promotions, transfers, status changes, salary changes and terminations (and any other employee record related actions in Hub) ensuring all authorization is received prior to processing
</li><li>Point of contact for NOV Time - timekeeping questions from managers or employees
</li><li>Complete weekly timecard sign-off for employees in corresponding Area of Responsibility
</li><li>Process weekly bonus payments (Ex: Field Service employees, Safety Boots)
</li><li>Submit direct deposit change requests through HR Central
</li><li>Point of contact to answer payroll related questions to employees
</li><li>Prepare and provide required periodic reports to different stakeholders (Finance, HSE, Operations, etc.) as needed
</li><li>Code and obtain necessary approvals to process invoices (CBES, Contingent Workers, etc.) and submit to A/P
</li><li>Process employee terminations
</li><li>Manage Quarterly Random Drug &amp; Alcohol list testing in collaboration with HR Generalist.
</li><li>Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
</li><li>Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
</li></ul>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
<ul><li>High School diploma or GED
</li><li>2-4 years&rsquo; experience in an HR support role or related field
</li><li>Must be highly proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and able to research, compile and clearly present information and data
</li><li>Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations
</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills
</li><li>Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
</li><li>Action and results oriented with a focus on process mapping and improvement
</li><li>Ability to allocate time effectively to complete tasks
</li><li>Be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately in a fast-paced environment
