 About the Role
 Concorde Education is seeking a Spanish Instructor to lead engaging after-school programs for students. This role focuses on building foundational Spanish language skills through interactive, communication-based instruction.
 Instructors will guide students through speaking, listening, and vocabulary development while introducing cultural topics in an accessible, age-appropriate way. Programs are designed for beginner-level learners, with flexibility based on grade level and site needs.
 What You’ll Teach
 <ul>
<li>Students will learn introductory Spanish through active participation and real-world communication. Topics may include:</li>
<li>Greetings, introductions, and everyday phrases</li>
<li>Numbers, dates, and basic conversational language</li>
<li>High-frequency vocabulary (school, family, food, hobbies)</li>
<li>Listening and speaking through games, role-play, and dialogue</li>
<li>Basic sentence structure and simple grammar patterns</li>
<li>Cultural topics from Spanish-speaking countries (traditions, food, music, geography)</li>
</ul>
Responsibilities

<li>Lead structured, engaging Spanish language sessions aligned to program goals</li>
<li>Create a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation</li>
<li>Adapt instruction for different skill levels and confidence levels</li>

Qualifications

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the Coordinator of Categorical and English Language Learner Program, the Bilingual Tutor helps the limited English proficient student acquire English proficiency and make academic progress by providing academic instructional support in the primary language of the student. 
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:<ul><li>
Assist new students and/or the parents of the new students, explaining school procedures and providing &quot;survival&quot; information. El</li><li>
Assess the primary language skills of the student in order to determine appropriate instructional support. E</li><li>
Coordinate efforts with the classroom teacher to ensure that relevant and appropriate support is provided. E</li><li>
Help the student understand classroom assignments, including instructions and directions. E</li><li>
Translate text materials, help the student with study skills and test-taking skills. E</li><li>
Assist parents and teachers to communicate about school related concerns. E</li><li>
Assist the student with school-wide problems that might arise. E</li><li>
Help monitor student progress and provide encouragement and support to students. E Other related duties as assigned.</li></ul> 
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS:<ul><li>
High School graduation or equivalent.</li><li>
Must have full proficiency in the primary language of the student and proficiency in English.</li><li>
Professional or volunteer work with children's groups, tutoring, and/or mentoring highly desirable.</li><li>
Must meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirement of an associate of arts degree, forty-eight college credits, or pass an examination.</li></ul>

 What You’ll Teach
 Students will develop introductory French language skills and cultural awareness through hands-on, participation-driven lessons.
