 The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. S/he also will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her.

A Service Technician II is a highly skilled professional responsible for performing complex vehicle repairs and maintenance. A Service Technician II plays a critical role in troubleshooting advanced technical issues, managing resources, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
 
Essential Functions:

<li>Liaise with dispatcher to receive repair orders; perform work specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership and/or factory standards, including hybrid and electric vehicles.</li>
<li>Identify mechanical problems using visual inspections or computer diagnostic equipment, conduct tests on parts and systems to ensure proper functionality, and examine all critical components.</li>
<li>Use diagnostic tools and software to determine the root cause of problems.</li>
<li>Report findings and suggest recommended repairs to the Service Advisor.</li>
<li>Perform a wide range of repairs, including engine transmission, electrical steering, suspension, braking, and air conditioning, including conducting routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.</li>
