Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Brand &amp; Public Engagement, the Writer-Editor partners with colleagues across the Brand and Development teams to support the content needs of AWF&rsquo;s programmatic, fundraising, and policy teams.
 
 
 The role oversees editorial standards for core institutional materials and develops content for printed materials and other channels. Products include the annual report, newsletters, special publications, editorial digital content, donor reports and proposals, and video scripts. <div>The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) is seeking an editor to help execute the Center&rsquo;s publications process. CNAS is a leading foreign policy and national security think tank that produces approximately 40 major analytic reports each year. 


The editor, reporting to the editorial and publications director, will play a key role in coordinating the Center&rsquo;s publications and will work closely with the Publications and Communications teams, as well as the eight research programs. They must be able to work independently and as part of a small team. The editor should have impeccable attention to detail, an ability to manage multiple projects at once, and a strong background in editing. This is an overview of primary responsibilities. Other tasks may be required, and responsibilities may vary to fulfill the Center&rsquo;s needs. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an enthusiastic VIDEO EDITOR to add to our award-winning news team. You need to be a motivated team player with nonlinear editing experience. We edit using Adobe Premiere Pro. The primary responsibilities of the ENG Editor are to edit, locate, and monitor media for newscasts.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB:
1. Monitors editing load to assure video and stories for airing are available.
 2. Edits national news video and recuts local videos for all newscasts.
 3. Locate file video and archive video for stories, edits as necessary.
 4. Dubs and edits for exchange with other stations.
 5. Monitors video during newscasts.
 6. Receive/route live bonded-cellular, microwave, and satellite feeds.
