Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an organization dedicated to excellence in financial management, whether working with corporate, non-profit, or governmental accounting environments.Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online , Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.</li><li>Prepare and reconcile balance sheets, bank statements, and accounts receivable/payable ledgers to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Record journal entries with precision, including debits and credits, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Conduct account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.</li><li>Manage payroll processing and related tax filings in compliance with federal and state regulations.</li><li>Assist with budgeting processes by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.</li><li>Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.</li><li>Handle accounts payable and receivable functions efficiently while maintaining positive vendor relationships.</li><li>Perform governmental accounting tasks where applicable, including fund accounting and compliance reporting.</li><li>Execute bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting activities with meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Contribute to financial report writing that clearly communicates organizational financial health.</li><li>Support technical accounting tasks requiring a strong understanding of financial concepts and software tools such as Quicken or other specialized programs.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, ideally within corporate, non-profit, or governmental sectors.</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; experience with Quicken is a plus.</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP standards, double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.</li><li>Familiarity with payroll processing, tax regulations, and governmental accounting practices.</li><li>Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently using 10-key typing skills for data entry.</li><li>Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes and journal entry preparation.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare detailed reports.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and supporting audit processes. Job Description
The Dealership Accounting Clerk ensures the validity and accuracy of accounting functions on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. They work to ensure a timely transfer of all information that affects accounting.In addition, this person provides administrative support such as typing, filing, data entry, and record keeping, and other duties assigned.
This person must be detail-oriented, good with numbers, and skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). In addition, they must habr an understanding of basic accounting procedures, have accurate data entry skills and have the abilityto use an automated accounting system. Will need to reconcile sttements and ensure payments are consistent with set schedules. The preffered candidate has at least one year of experience in a position of similar responsibility. They must be detail-oriented and good with numbers and skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
