ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Building Engineer with a specialized focus working in a critical environment such as production, manufacturing and/or power plant but agile to work in a corporate workspace. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end operation, real-time monitoring, and expert troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance.

 This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
 
Proficient managing building systems (HVAC, M.E.P., inspections & preventative maintenance) within an office space or corporate facility.
 Must live within designated radius of the job site to reliably work schedule/shift.
 Willing to respond to incidents and emergencies as needed (on-call) including after hours and weekends.
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Perform maintenance and repairs to the mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
 Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
 Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
 Maintain an energy management program.
 Ensure all systems operate in the most efficient manner.

About the Position
We&rsquo;re seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and overall condition of multiple branch locations across Ventura, Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, and San Diego counties. This is a field-based leadership role responsible for maintaining facilities operations at a high standard through proactive maintenance, rapid response to issues, and consistent site coverage.
You&rsquo;ll spend your days visiting multiple branches, performing inspections, addressing minor repairs, and identifying larger issues before they become costly problems. You will also support and guide field technicians, help prioritize work across sites, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with client expectations.

Provide operational support and technical services for the critical data center of a fast paced and growing technology company. 
 
Essential Job Duties:
<ul><li>Maintain and repair the mechanical, electrical, security and fire protection systems that protect and support business critical information systems (servers, mainframes, etc)
</li><li>Identify and be able to immediately recognize system faults and respond to operational and emergency situations
</li><li>Maintain strict compliance with all Federal, State and Local codes, regulations and standards.
</li><li>Perform preventative tests and analyze data to ensure the proper functioning of all base building and critical system equipment, including electrical, HVAC, fire/life safety, security and emergency back-up systems. Determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required
</li><li>Monitor the operations and make customer approved adjustments of chilled water systems, heat exchangers, CRAC Units, HVAC, electrical systems, emergency back-up systems, hot water systems, pumps, valves, filters and other mechanical and electrical equipment. Record readings and make recommendations for adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment
</li><li>Prepare and maintain maintenance logs and reports to accurately document the condition of systems in the data center. Maintain knowledge about preventive maintenance and work order software systems
</li><li>Coordinate contractor and management approvals for work orders that require the use of outside contractors. Maintain detailed logs of all work performed
</li><li>Read, comprehend and work from complex technical information (i.e. blueprints, sketches, building plans and schematics) pertaining to electrical and mechanical systems that serve the data centers. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and formal change control processes to implement changes
</li><li>Interact with all parts of the organization to respond to a variety of service requests. Perform any and all work, to ensure the safety of the buildings tenants and the continuous operation of the facility

</li><li>May be on-call after regular scheduled hours
</li></ul>Skills, Education and Experience:
<ul><li>High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
</li><li>Minimum of 5 years previous critical data center operations engineering experience
