POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Boat Business Assistant provides the clerical support for all boat, motor, trailer or ATV customer purchases in the Boat Department or at a Boat Dealership.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

<li>Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.</li>
<li>Assists the Business/Sales Manager or (in the absence thereof) the Boat Manager in selling finance and insurance programs to increase dealer revenues.</li>
<li>Conducts or assists in customer closings and funding activities.</li>
<li>Coordinates all paperwork involved in the sale process, i.e., create and finalize quotes in IDS, print all closing documents, enter customer deposits in IDS and maintain Sales, Finance and/or Commission logs.</li>
<li>Accounts for all monies received in the department and ensure the safekeeping of those funds.</li>
<li>Performs closing activities at the end of the day, i.e., till reconciliation procedures, batch detail report, Daily Cash Report, bank deposit slip preparation, etc.</li>
<li>Completes data entry into IDS of all activities associated with the sale. Accurately post all deals within 24 hours of delivery.</li>
<li>Organizes / processes MSOs by entering their receipt into IDS, safeguarding these documents, maintaining an appropriate filing system for easy retrieval when unit sells, and completing appropriate affidavits for requesting duplicate MSOs as needed.</li>
<li>Answers multi-line phones in a timely, professional and courteous manner. Directs all inbound calls to the appropriate associate or department and take complete and accurate messages if requested associate is unavailable.</li>
<li>Keeps boat dealership stocked with all necessary office supplies, including state / local title and registration paperwork; maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and order supplies on a timely basis.</li>
<li>Complete and file all required title work and associated documentation. Prepares check requests as needed.</li>
<li>Maintains all documentation from the various manufacturers and warranty register all products sold within manufacturer’s specified timeframe requirements.</li>
<li>Performs other clerical tasks as required including, sending faxes, file preparation and maintenance of customer files.</li>
<li>ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.</li>

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

 **Responsibilities**
 
 
 
 Essential Functions

 Greet new employees
 </li>

 Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist employees with the online benefits enrollment process
 </li>
 <li>
 Approve employee changes (i.e., promotions, transfers, and terminations)
 </li>

 Explain company benefits to employees
 </li>
 <li>
 Assemble and distribute COBRA notices
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with maintaining personnel benefit files and records and third party administrator benefit files
 </li>
 <li>
 Process, verify, and maintain documentation related to benefit records and activities
 </li>
 <li>
 Respond to general employee and applicant inquiries, directing them to appropriate resources
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform clerical duties such as filing, copying, mailing, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in the creation of benefit communications including benefit summaries, flyers and emails
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide administrative assistance to the HR department and other team members
 </li>
 <li>
 Address employee inquiries and provide information on benefit issues and claims
 </li>

 Review 401(k) files to reconcile contribution changes and track eligibility
 </li>

 Act as backup for the HR Benefits Specialist as needed
 </li>
