Join Howdens as a Business Developer and play a key role in growing your local depot. We&rsquo;re looking for someone who enjoys speaking to people face to face and on the phone, building relationships and driving business. You&rsquo;ll introduce new trade customers to Howdens, stay close to your existing accounts, and spot opportunities to grow spend by understanding what your customers need and what they&rsquo;re working on.
Working as part of a busy, depot team, you&rsquo;ll support sales activity by generating leads, arranging appointments and keeping the pipeline moving. You&rsquo;ll work closely with our Kitchen Sales Designers and our Territory Sales Representatives, helping convert conversations into opportunities and opportunities into sales. If you&rsquo;re confident on the phone, enjoy building rapport, and are motivated by targets and results, you&rsquo;ll fit right in.

</li></ul>What we&rsquo;re looking for:
<ul><li>A confident communicator who is comfortable speaking to customers on the phone and face to face
</li><li>Someone who enjoys building relationships and turning conversations into opportunities
</li><li>Commercially minded, with a focus on driving sales and adding value
</li><li>Self-motivated, positive and proactive
</li><li>Organised and reliable, able to manage customer activity and keep track of pipelines
</li><li>Comfortable working to call targets and activity levels
</li><li>Experience in telesales, account management or a customer focused role is helpful
</li></ul>What you&rsquo;ll be doing:
<ul><li>Calling existing trade customers to build long term relationships and grow future business
</li><li>Using customer data to spot inactivity and bring accounts back on track
</li><li>Managing a targeted customer list and achieving daily call activity levels
</li><li>Keeping up to date with customer projects to identify opportunities to add value and drive repeat business
</li><li>Arranging surveys and appointments for our Kitchen Sales Designers
</li><li>Promoting products, offers and events to keep customers engaged
</li><li>Supporting administration, including invoicing and general depot tasks
</li><li>Working closely with the wider team to help the depot hit its targets and deliver great service
