Business Intelligence Analyst

Kalahari Resorts &amp; Conventions is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst. Kalahari is building its first dedicated Business Intelligence team. Right now, we have a modern data stack: Snowflake as our warehouse, Braze for marketing, and over 70 data sources flowing in from all five resort properties. With that, we don't have a dedicated analyst to turn that into ongoing insights for the business. This role is the first educated hire.

You and this team will work directly with our C-suite, along with cross-functional leaders across marketing, revenue management, and operations, to build out dashboards, analyses, and reporting that the company runs on! It's a ground-floor opportunity to shape how a billion-dollar resort company uses data.

This team will have high visibility throughout the organization. You will have the support of both Kalahari IT and external partners for data engineering, data science, and business intelligence to support executing these analytics projects.

As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love&mdash;guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll transform operational and guest data into meaningful insights that help leaders make informed decisions. By identifying trends and opportunities across resort and convention operations, this role helps improve service quality, operational efficiency, and overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

<li>Create dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to help drive business decisions.</li>
<li>Perform strong data storytelling and presentation skills for executive and cross-functional audiences.</li>
<li>Ability to work with multiple data sources and integrate them into meaningful analysis.</li>
<li>Collaborate with marketing, revenue management, operations, and leadership teams.</li>
<li>Demonstrate curiosity and strong problem-solving skills when investigating business questions through data.</li>

What We're Looking For

<ul><li>5 or more years of hands-on analytics experience with customer, transactional, financial, or operational data sets</li>
<li>Proficiency in SQL (mid to expert level), Excel spreadsheets, reporting, dashboarding, and analytical and business intelligence tools.</li>
<li>Experience working with a major cloud analytics warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate insights effectively to executive and non-technical audiences.</li>
<li>Experience working in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.</li>
<li>Comfortable working in a new or evolving analytics function and helping shape processes.</li>
<li>Experience transforming raw data into dashboards, analyses, and recurring reporting.</li>

This person will act as the liaison between business and technical teams to translate requirements. This person will pull and validate data and identify trends. They will report these findings to leadership and make recommendations.
