Just a stone&rsquo;s throw from the many favourite sights of the Qatari capital, the hotel will welcome guests and locals to experience its 283 guest rooms, including suites and serviced apartments, and to enjoy a multitude of unique dining options.

Here&rsquo;s a little taste of your day-to-day:

Administration
<ul>
<li>Assist to identify and select suppliers, including order follow up and vendor file management.</li>
<li>Assist to review all the Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders processed by subordinates.</li>
<li>Participates in negotiations for service contracts.</li>
<li>Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply.</li>
<li>Ensure that all efforts are exhausted in obtaining the best possible quotations.</li>
<li>Ensure that price comparison among other hotels is done on a regular basis.</li>
<li>Keep good relationship with user department and suppliers.</li>
</ul>
Technical Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Assist to oversee and ensure the effective implementation of the tender system so that the continuous supply of quality goods and services to the hotel are not compromised.</li>
<li>Assist to ensure the timely preparation of purchase order so that all approved purchase requests can be ordered and the goods delivered by the suppliers on the date needed.</li>
<li>Assist to conduct periodic market survey in association with department concerned to determine and/or validate the availability and prices of market goods.</li>
<li>Assist to keep track of all outstanding purchase orders to ensure that goods are delivered on time, in formalizing a monthly outstanding order report per department.</li>
<li>Participates in negotiations for service contracts.</li>
<li>Identifies and organizes adequate storage for all perpetual inventory items and implements corporate policy, products and initiatives in order to maximize cost effectiveness.</li>
<li>Obtains competitive quotations and bids.</li>
<li>Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply.</li>
<li>Processes purchase requests from departments. Must be familiar with most of the regular items procured by the hotel.</li>
<li>Assist in processing of replacement for damaged and near expiry items and also service of damaged machines or equipment.</li>

<li>Two years or more years of experience as a Buyer in a Luxury &amp; Lifestyle hotel</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends</li>
