<div>Join the Pharmaceutical Calibrations and Instrumentation (PCI) team! We are seeking a Calibration Technician III that can perform calibrations onsite at our client pharmaceutical facilities in the Midwest as needed. If you prefer working at a fast pace, &quot;on the go&quot; instead of at a desk, have a passion for performing quality work, and have a strong electronics or instrumentation background, this position may be just for you! Up to 75% travel is required based on project and client needs.
This position will focus on performing preventive maintenance, qualifications, relocations and calibrations on a variety of instruments such as electronics, temperature devices, pressure gauges, centrifuges, incubators, balances, and others as found in pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments. The Calibration Technician III reports directly to the Team Leader, Manager, or Director depending on the organizational structure.
Expectations:
Calibration Technicians complete calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following PCI and/or client specific policies and procedures. They are expected to take a proactive role in supporting the Team and in providing client support and are expected to build a high level of trust with internal and client personnel. In addition to the above expectations, the Tech III is expected to have a broader knowledge base of instrumentation and regulatory compliance. The Role</div>
</div><div>Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESQuality Assurance (QA)<ul><li>Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection &amp; Test Plans (ITPs), and procedures in line with ISO 9001 and API Q1/Q2.</li><li>Conduct internal and external quality audits (suppliers, subcontractors, project phases).</li><li>Manage document control for quality records &ndash; ensure latest revisions of drawings, specs, and standards are used.</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for non-conformances (NCRs).</li></ul>Quality Control (QC)<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day inspection activities (incoming, in-process, final) for equipment, piping, structural, and welding works.</li><li>Coordinate and witness NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) such as UT, RT, MT, PT.</li><li>Review material test certificates (MTCs) and ensure traceability.</li><li>Verify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder qualifications.</li><li>Monitor coating, painting, and insulation quality as per project specs.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Prepare and review QA/QC reports, test packages, and final handover dossiers.</li><li>Ensure all documentation meets client and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, API, ASTM, BS).</li><li>Maintain logs for NCRs, inspection requests, calibration records, and personnel certifications.</li><li>Liaise with client representatives and third-party inspection agencies.</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to resolve quality issues.</li><li>Provide QA/QC training and guidance to site teams.</li><li>Report quality performance metrics and KPIs to management.</li></ul>3. QUALIFICATIONS &amp; REQUIREMENTSEssential<ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Civil, or related field).</li><li>Experience: Minimum 5+ years of QA/QC experience specifically in oil &amp; gas projects (onshore/offshore, pipelines, refineries, or petrochemicals).</li><li>QMS Knowledge: Hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and API Q1/Q2.</li><li>Inspection &amp; Testing: Proven experience in inspection, testing, and documentation control.</li><li>NDT &amp; Standards: Strong knowledge of NDT techniques (UT, RT, MT, PT) and industry standards (ASME Sec V, VIII, IX; API 1104; AWS D1.1; etc.).</li><li>Software: Proficient in MS Office and quality management software (e.g., LIMS, QMS tools).</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Visa Status : Company Visa / Freelance </li><li>How Many years of QA/QC experience specifically in oil &amp; gas projects (onshore/offshore, pipelines, refineries, or petrochemicals).</li></ul>Work Location: In person
