We are seeking a Calibration Technician III that can perform calibrations onsite at our client pharmaceutical facilities in the Midwest as needed. This position will focus on performing preventive maintenance, qualifications, relocations and calibrations on a variety of instruments such as electronics, temperature devices, pressure gauges, centrifuges, incubators, balances, and others as found in pharmaceutical manufacturing and laboratory environments. The Calibration Technician III reports directly to the Team Leader, Manager, or Director depending on the organizational structure.</p><p></p><p><b>
Expectations:</b></p><p>
Calibration Technicians complete calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following PCI and/or client specific policies and procedures. They are expected to take a proactive role in supporting the Team and in providing client support and are expected to build a high level of trust with internal and client personnel. In addition to the above expectations, the Tech III is expected to have a broader knowledge base of instrumentation and regulatory compliance. Increased client interaction will occur and the Tech II will develop a deeper understanding of PCI&rsquo;s services and how clients can expand the use of these services.</p><p></p><p>
In addition to the above expectations, the Tech III is expected to identify and execute tasks that enhance the ability of PCI to provide an &lsquo;added value&rsquo; service for clients and provide guidance and direction on technical issues. Responsibilities/Assignments:</b></p><p><b>
Calibration Technician I</b></p><ul><li>
Under supervision, completes calibrations and qualifications in a safe, timely, and accurate manner, following PCI and client specific policies and proposals.</li><li>
Able to perform, with guidance, basic pressure, temperature, humidity, time and CO2 calibrations.</li><li>
Is adept at handling PCI and client owned equipment and test equipment with care.</li><li>
Identifies project supply and equipment needs and conveys to the appropriate resource to ensure availability.</li><li>
Works to understand client needs and requirements through effective communication and develops client relationships through excellent customer service. Ensures client requests are conveyed to the appropriate PCI management resource and met in accordance with management direction.</li><li>
On average, 90 - 95% of work time will be utilized completing scheduled calibration and maintenance events.</li><li>
Timesheets and expense reports are completed weekly with accurate labor and expense codes.</li><li>
Maintains a neat and professional PCI work area and projects a professional image at all times.</li><li>
Always considers safety when executing tasks and projects. Ensures that PCI work areas are safe, neatly organized and professional on-site and in an office environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Calibration Technician II </b>(in addition to those listed above)</p><ul><li>
With minor supervision, completes calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following PCI or client specific policies and procedures, and in a safe manner.</li><li>
With guidance, able to perform flow, conductivity, pH, mass and dimensional calibrations.</li><li>
Is attune to potential new opportunities for PCI when at a client site or interacting with a client and relays this lead back to Leader/Manager.</li><li>
Completes timesheets with correct labor code charges (weekly) and assists other PCI Associates in proper coding of time and expenses.</li><li>
Responsible for proper handling and maintenance of PCI and client equipment, including testing and standards equipment.</li><li>
Learning to troubleshooting and perform repairs, but the majority of work will continue to be scheduled calibrations and maintenance events</li><li>
Able to identify and report any safety issues at the work site, including educating peers on safety practices.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>

Without direct supervision, completes calibrations, qualifications, and PMs with accurate and timely GxP documentation, following PCI or client specific policies and procedures, and in a safe manner.</li><li>

Able to manager small projects and supervise technicians on those projects.</li><li>
Identifies potential value-added business opportunities at client sites and shares with appropriate PCI Team Manager.</li><li>
Develops basic quotes or proposals; assists with development of complex proposals.</li><li>
Professional, diplomatic, and tactful with potentially sensitive issues; has a good understanding of the business case. Comfortable dealing with all levels of management and clients, respected by peers and clients.</li><li>
Handles PCI and client owned equipment and test equipment with care and trains other Associates on proper use and handling.</li><li>
Ensures safe work practices are followed by other PCI Associates.</li><li>
Plans and makes sure project supplies and equipment are ready and available. Works with appropriate company resources in advance to ensure all project needs are met.</li><li>
May assist in PCI onboarding process and serves as a role model and mentor to other technicians through professional actions/ethics and technical skills.</li><li>

</div><div>Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</div><ul><li>
Complete assignments of troubleshooting, aligning, repairing, modifying, calibrating, and certifying TMDE in accordance with requirements of the PWS, TO 00-20-14, AFI 21-113, AFI 21-101 and other applicable directives as assign by PMEL Managers or Technician IIIs.</li><li>
Provide intermediate to advanced calibration and repair services on electronic, electro-mechanical, physical, dimensional, mechanical, and optical Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) in the assigned Precision Measurement Engineering Laboratory (PMEL).</li><li>
Captures test readings using common instruments such as oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, pulse generators, power meters, torque calibrator, temperature, and pressure measurement devices.</li><li>
Utilize TMDE to troubleshoot and repair systems and circuit boards to component level, to include surface-mount technology.</li><li>
Perform daily operations in accordance with established safety and security practices.</li><li>
Perform daily work assignments to ensure QMS goals are met or exceeded.</li><li>
Participates in root cause analysis process and corrective action determination meetings as required.</li><li>
Provide technical guidance and training to other technicians, when required.</li><li>
Interfaces with customers to report and resolve calibration/maintenance issues and limitations.</li><li>
